Tom Hardy & Charlize Theron Look Dirty In New MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Images

Two more images from George Miller's upcoming film Mad Max: Fury Road. They feature stars Tom Hardy ("The Dark Knight Rises") and Charlize Theron ("Snow White and the Huntsman").

“MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max (played by TOM HARDY from The Dark Knight Rises), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And… Furiosa (played by CHARLIZE THERON from Prometheus), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.”

I dunno if you realized this, but Charlize was still bald when A Million Ways to Die in The West started filming, and that's a wig :)

Trailer better be here SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WhiteSAMURAI - 7/22/2014, 2:14 PM
As long as they don't go Beyond Thunderdome on us this movie will be awesome. This is easily somewhere in my top 5 anticipated movies for 2015.
themidnightking - 7/22/2014, 2:15 PM
In the second pic, Charlize looks like season 1 Carol from The Walking Dead 0.o
Facade - 7/22/2014, 2:17 PM
High hopes for this one.
MisterHolmes - 7/22/2014, 2:24 PM

Visually and stylistically this film has a hill to climb. As excited as I am to see this film modernized, I can't shake the feeling that we've seen all of this so many times before. The deserty post-apocalyptic landscape. The dusty clothes. The ragtag equipment. If this wasn't a reboot I don't think I'd go see it.
ralfinader - 7/22/2014, 2:28 PM
Hardy seems a little to small to be playing Mad Max, but looking forward to this none the less.
ManThing - 7/22/2014, 2:28 PM
Yeah they have been talking about making this movie for at least a decade..

And then when things finally actually got underway, it happened almost totally under the radar. Only this year did the info start to flow.
HAILHYDRA - 7/22/2014, 2:28 PM
I really loved the take on the post-apocalyptic movie in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. That movie showed that just because it's a sequel to a second reboot of an old sci-fi classic that it's still possible to be original. They basically eliminated any excuse why you can't be original in any type of movie.
CherryBomb - 7/22/2014, 2:29 PM
So this film was shot with Instagram?

Get this, I'm working on a filming 4 a scene of "Sage & Milo" next week. :) Anybody out there know what that is? Go Blue.
RobertLiefeld - 7/22/2014, 2:57 PM
@cwb77 Isn't Sage and Milo that thing where hippies get into a circle and beat bongos and sing together?
Gnoxorm - 7/22/2014, 3:04 PM
This movie will be killer. It's so great Miller is back doing it all himself once again. No body else could pull off such a raw aesthetic. The style for these movies is concrete, and nobody knows it better than Miller himself. The small details of the savage machinery and clothing is looking so so good. Focking 'a.
Bigred20 - 7/22/2014, 3:08 PM
better be rated R
BlindJustice - 7/22/2014, 3:13 PM
This better be rated R! PG-13 just doesn't cut it these days...unless it's a superhero flick.
gaikinger - 7/22/2014, 3:18 PM
Has to be rated R. One of the reasons Thunderdome failed was its PG13 rating. I guess it takes longer to make a movie with real stunts and practical effects rather than a dumb Fast and Furious CGI fest.

Sometimes, even idiots like me get an opportunity to be a part of something special. I'll post what I can in words, but they made us sign a non-disclosure form, so I cant say a lot. Wish me luck. :) Go Blue!
marvel72 - 7/22/2014, 4:23 PM

UltimateCookie - 7/22/2014, 4:26 PM

eleven59 - 7/22/2014, 4:34 PM

btw, wasn't this filmed like 2 years ago??
AvatarAang - 7/22/2014, 5:42 PM
Looks like Theron is channeling her inner Ellen Ripley.
gaikinger - 7/22/2014, 5:58 PM
I would not go in there.....Sean penn is going in there. Idiot by injection.
DocDangerous - 7/22/2014, 7:10 PM
Hahaha, I looked at both pictures and thought - "both these pictures are of Tom Hardy."
batz11 - 7/22/2014, 7:11 PM
@cwb77 pffft, non-disclosure agreements never stop McNyagano ;)
MisterHolmes - 7/22/2014, 10:41 PM
Atumbem - 7/22/2014, 11:11 PM
Charlize always uglies up real good. She's probably average looking without all the Hollywood glamour and makeup.
Alfredo27 - 7/23/2014, 7:35 AM
a mad max movie without Mel Gibson? What a waste of time, I bet it will do as good as a Conan movie without Arnold? When will studios realize that its better to call it something new because old fans are going to come watch Tom Hardy who ever the fruck he is.
Lostcause - 7/23/2014, 9:34 AM
Tom Hardy as Crossbones in Captain America 3:Fallen S.H.I.E.L.D? Yes or No?
case - 7/26/2014, 1:15 AM
