If it ain't broke don't fix it
charlie2094 - 1/30/2014, 11:18 AM
Haha, pretty funny, but agree with the points they make

Marvel is great and I love them, but they're far from perfect
Dinotron - 1/30/2014, 11:19 AM
lOL its called agents of shield not super heroes of shield, plus sif is coming in plus deathlok and another agent from the comics
Pasto - 1/30/2014, 11:20 AM
Axe AOS. And there you go.
DrDoom - 1/30/2014, 11:24 AM
I guess Red Skull, Abomination, Aldrich Killian and Kurse didn't exist . . . .
McNyagano - 1/30/2014, 11:25 AM
Get better villains. The only decent MCU villains are Loki, Stane and Killian. The rest are meh. Oh and ciurse too. Malekith sucked so bad. Ugh. Those are my only gripes of the MCU.
charlie2094 - 1/30/2014, 11:26 AM

But they weren't good villains...Kurse had almost nothing to do except appear in one fight scene, Skull had almost no development and was never much of a threat...Killian had some interesting elements, but fell flat as a great villain after the Mandarin debacle...

They existed, but there was nothing memorable about them, definitely no Lokis, the only remotely well developed villain
thebearjew - 1/30/2014, 11:26 AM
who the hell is cuirse
Pasto - 1/30/2014, 11:27 AM
Who's Cuirse?
GizmoEl - 1/30/2014, 11:30 AM
Thankfully they'll be introducing us to ULTRON which will be a breath of fresh air. You can be damn sure he's gonna be a great villain and not an antihero. And Thanos is gonna be in the background of everything and come at the end and [frick] shit up.

I think they need to refocus Agents of SHIELD, but I think what's we're all forgetting about is we've got four new shows coming out next year dedicated to the B-listers. And hopefully they can pull it off and make it epic.
DrDoom - 1/30/2014, 11:31 AM

What are you talking about? Red Skull felt like he was ripped right from the books. Red Skull is not a character who changes, he's static, therefore he doesn't need development. More fleshing out, perhaps. I'm starting to think a lot of people don't know what 'character development' actually is . . . .
Kurse did exactly what he was supposed to do. Provide a physical challenge and be an intimidating adversary.
Aldrich Killian is a brilliantly written character who goes beyond the simplistic mindset of a lot of deluded and bitter fans.
And you didn't even mention Abomination . . . .
SageMode - 1/30/2014, 11:32 AM

Get rid of Darcy. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
TheBeard - 1/30/2014, 11:34 AM
Galactus is here [frick]in shit up-- now that is a great movie title
DrDoom - 1/30/2014, 11:35 AM
Iron Monger was another good villain, although one that obviously couldn't return, and Justin Hammer was unorthodox as an adversary but was another very well-written character.

The only major villains in the MCU that didn't deliver for me were Whiplash and Laufey. Malekith needed work, but he isn't terrible.
batz11 - 1/30/2014, 11:36 AM
@themidknightking - well said...
Dinotron - 1/30/2014, 11:38 AM
the thing that made Loki stand out was that his character is so charismatic

Red Skull isnt charismatic his a dag on nazi and was "killed"

Stane was good but was killed

Whiplash was alright but killed

Kilian/ Trevor/ The Mandarin def is rememorable but not someone who could rise again

Malekith was okay but killed

So Loki has both Charisma and the fact that he is still alive going for him. Out of all the villains Marvel chooses none of them are as popukar in the comics as Loki is. AoU will sure enough deliver the goods as far as villains go though
TopCat89 - 1/30/2014, 11:38 AM

Couldn't agree more!

Totally pointless character, that ruins a scene the moment she pops up....and now they've added a tit of a boyfriend too. I was hopping for an 'accident'....when Thor calls for Mjolnir....for it to strike her in the face.....or for her to walk into it's path when Thor throws it....
TheBeard - 1/30/2014, 11:39 AM
their making a movie about a [frick]in raccoon and we cant even make a wonder woman movie awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

LOL the fat guy is hilarious

batz11 - 1/30/2014, 11:39 AM
Another memorable villain for me...I REALLY hope we get to see Blonsky /Abomination again...

XelCorp - 1/30/2014, 11:40 AM
Aldrich was a pretty good villian.. Being able to deceive and manipulate the population and not get caught was pretty damn impressive.. I consider as one of the smartest villains in the MCU so far.. As for Red Skull.. There isn't much you can expect from him.. He is pretty straight foward and usually has the common villainous role, there really is no complexity in any back stories for doing what he does.. He just down right evil simple as that
jimoakley666 - 1/30/2014, 11:41 AM
You can't fix what ain't broke, bitch.
cipher - 1/30/2014, 11:42 AM
Trevor is my idol. He is my god. I'm gonna name my son Trevor (if I'm ever stupid enough to let my girlfriend talk me into it). Whenever the f*ck I get a new dog, I'm gonna name it Trevor.

I'm gonna start callin' my tallywhacker Trevor.
cipher - 1/30/2014, 11:43 AM

I'm NOT drunk.
XelCorp - 1/30/2014, 11:43 AM
@Soto- who ever said that?
batz11 - 1/30/2014, 11:50 AM
0megaDaGod -- yeah, but not sure you want it the opposite either, balanced for me is fine...ask 100 people what character the remember from The Dark know what 99 would say...
cipher - 1/30/2014, 11:51 AM
In all seriousness, I like the villains for the most part. I mean, I didn't care for Malekith, and although I thought the fight was cool, I didn't care for Abomination, either. But, yeah..

I liked most of 'em.

Obadiah's still one of my favourites to this day.
cipher - 1/30/2014, 11:53 AM

I f*ckin' LOVE this scene. Such a f*cking bastard.
batz11 - 1/30/2014, 11:53 AM
ciph, I don't think you like anything, go hangout with grif, why don't ya? ;)
SpiderFraud - 1/30/2014, 11:54 AM
My biggest problem with Marvel, has always been the throw ways villains. The only good ones are Obadiah Stane and Loki.
Brainiac13 - 1/30/2014, 11:57 AM
Yeah.....Hulk vs Abomination was epic. Love that movie.

JerBear - 1/30/2014, 11:58 AM
"This would be rectified with longer and more epic final battles on par with Hulk vs Abomination"

It would also be rectified by making the villain just about as important as the hero ala Loki/Joker/Magneto etc.
CaptainObvious - 1/30/2014, 11:58 AM
Does anybody watch Screen Junkies outside of their Honest Trailers?
JerBear - 1/30/2014, 11:59 AM
I can tell that the Winter Soldier is being handled with care though.
JerBear - 1/30/2014, 11:59 AM
So is Thanos and Ultron.
cipher - 1/30/2014, 12:00 PM

"Jack, could you put your head in there? Try to put your head in there, go ahead try to put your head in there.."

Hahahaha, I love this guy.
cipher - 1/30/2014, 12:01 PM
batz- Heh, I dunno, I think grif's still freaked out about the time I asked him if he was really a woman.
SpiderFraud - 1/30/2014, 12:02 PM
I won't be surprised if Winter Solider is half assed, I would be surprised if Ultron was.
kevberg - 1/30/2014, 12:02 PM
Why would they need "fixing" considering, right now, they're stomping DC'c cinematic ass?
thebearjew - 1/30/2014, 12:03 PM
are they really though ? really
batz11 - 1/30/2014, 12:03 PM
Ha, ha...why, because he bitches like one? ;)
