What Movies Are Marvel Planning For 2015? We Have A Hint About One Of Em

And I do mean a HINT, one that doesn't really narrow anything down too much, but will definitely make for some interesting speculation. Click for the details..

We're not labeling this as an "exclusive", not making any kind of big deal or fanfare about it because let's face it, we didn't break any news here. But, what we did do is get hold of a very vague clue about one of the movies Marvel is planning for 2015 and we thought we'd share it with you guys. I've been hounding sources about some more info about this Black Panther movie that Marvel supposedly have in the works for 2014, and while the best I could get on that was a "Maybe, but nothing specific I can tell you about", I was able to squeeze out one interesting bit of info about one of the movies on the slate for 2015.

Said slate - or at least part of it - looks like this..

Q4fy15 - Origin Movie




So, one of the movies set for 2015 will be an origin story for a Marvel character, but which one? The Hulk's name has come up, which would gel with what we have already heard about Marvel's future movie plans for the Green Goliath, but another origin story after both previous movie's and The Avengers? Highly unlikely. To me "origin" suggests that it might be a character we have already seen - which would certainly narrow it down some. We have heard there are plans for solo Hawyeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury/S.H.I.E.L.D movies at some point, could it be one of them? Like I said, it's not that much to go on, but it's something! Sound off with your thoughts below.

Well we know if Panther is happening it's 2014. But yeah, it could be anyone but like I said, origin to me suggest it might be a character we have already seen in a movie.

I'm thinking Guardians Of The Galaxy or Ant-Man. Maybe Black Panther if they decide not to release it in 2014.

Hawkeye and Black Widow's origins could both be incorporated into one SHIELD film, which could focus on Nick Fury as the head of SHIELD. No need for individual films for all three, especially as The Avengers established that Black Widow's origin as a SHIELD agent specifically involves Hawkeye

@LucasMend - What's the appeal of Dr. Strange? I haven't read anything with him in it. I honestly don't understand his draw and I've heard a lot of people exited about him in a movie.

I imagine if they have Renner signed for any type of movie deals, they would move on that. After this new Bourne, if he ain't on someones filming schedule through 2015, he will be.

I'd love to see Dr Strange, and I also want to see Black Panther. While I'm glad we won't have to wait for another five years to see Avengers 2, I am kind of disappointed that 'Phase 2' will only consist of Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Cap 2, Avengers 2, and only one original film (potentially). I wish they could introduce more new characters.

Oh yeah, as for this rumour... Origin, 2015. Edgar Wright is working on World's End, set for a 2013 release. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think that Ant-Man could be his next project, an origin set for 2015.

What if they went the total opposite direction and decided to give us an origin movie of Thanos?

That would potentially introduce all kinds of new characters... and blow a few fanboy minds

There not gonna redo Hulk again they still count the last movie as a part of the shared universe. Lets not be stupid now....

What I would like to see, in order of most to least:

Iron Fist
Inhumans
Luke Cage
Black Panther
Guardians of The Galaxy
Namor
Doctor Strange
Ant-Man

What I believe will be the released in order from most likely & soonest to least likely & latest:

Inhumans
Black Panther
Ant-Man
Guardians of The Galaxy
Luke Cage
Doctor Strange
Iron Fist
Namor

Ant-man is on its own course and will probably a third 2014 Marvel film)
My guess is one of these 5:
*Black Panther (minority superhero, fairly popular)
*Daredevil (Fox's right are getting ready expire on this one, and he could end up in the Avenger eventually)
*Captain Marvel (an origin for Ms. Marvel and the next Avenger film needs a power house female)
*Doctor Strange (starts to build characters outside of Avengers)
*Namor (this movie has been in development forever, and this starts to build a foundation for when marvel gets the fantastic 4 live action rights back)

-Sorry I just do not see Guardians of the Galaxy anytime soon, not after the Green Lantern flop from DC.Plus GOTG is extremely fringe when it comes to comics.

@Laird4Life- The appeal of Doctor Strange is that he is the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe. In layman's terms, he is the numero uno, greatest magician out of all of the other Marvel magicians. Not to mention his great backstory. He was also one of the best surgeons whose overconfidence sort of indirectly led to his downfall. After losing the use of his hands, and by default his career, he sought out meaning in his life, ultimately being led to the Ancient One, who trained him in the use of the mystical arts. Kind of Harry Potter all grown up, but waaaaaayyyyy more badass.

The Incredible Hulk had an origin movie in 2008, one which is 100% canon in the MCU.

Would really like to see black panther and doctor strange. No one would take an "Ant Man" movie seriously , not really looking forward to that movie . Inhumans and GOTG sound awesome but I don't think that's what they are talking about.

i think its gonna be nick fury, and it will bring back the howling commandos, or the invaders as they were called in tfa,it'll take place right after cap goes missing and show the origin and spy world of nick fury

Black Panther, GOTG, Inhumans, Doctor Strange. Perhaps Hawkeye or Black Widow solo films or film with both of them. IDK. Could be anything.

Spanning decades. Chronicling the rise of SHIELD and Nick Fury. The downward spiral of Howard Stark. the birth of the idea of Avengers and hawkeye and black widow "origin"

With a clue like "origin movie" I doubt it's a character we've already seen.

The Hulk's orgin has lready been done, although quite crapily, and I doubt Marvel would go back and try to re-tred that tire again.

I doubt as well that its Black Widow or Hawkeye. If they didn't explore their origins before Avengers then I doubt they'd go back post of it to tell that story.

My thoughts with the word "origin" thrown in there is that it is a new character that has not been introduced yet. Possibly one we'll get a hint at in one of the 2014 movies.

it has to be someone that has Cosmic powers or similar, so that way Marvel can move forward into Phase 2 !

I think MARVEL will go into Space-Cosmic characters after the succes of The Avengers !

GOTG or Dr. Strange or Inhumans

I'd love to see Rocket Raccon !!!!

I hope it is not Luke Cage or Howard the Duck (the former because Black Panther would be FAR more interesting, and the latter because the original movie for that character was...terrible).

My hopes (other than what I listed above) are for Dr. Strange, Inhumans, and/or Guardians of the Galaxy.
