I disagree witht this, for one. He's proposing a a cinematic version of a multiverse, Marvel putting out Spider-Man and X-Men, etc while at the same time FOX and Sony put out theirs. CBMs won't last long as a genre with that much oversaturation. You can argue all day about fans and 616 vs Ultimate, but the truth is whenit comes to the average joe those distinctions won't matter they'll just see another film with the same character they saw earlier that summer or the summer before. Imagine a summer with two Spider-Man films it just too much. After a while CBMs will simply flood the summer and for a few summers that won't be a bad thing, but after several summers with potentially four or five CBMs with big name characters, the same characters, seen over and over people will just get tired of it and stop going to see any of them. When that happens the era of the CBM will be over and over for many years.

I voted no, I agree with Nero, too many movie with the same characters that are not connected will be confusing to the casual fan and it will ultimately kill the CBM genre.

How about Marvel gets the rights to ALL its characters instead if having Sony and Fox giving us wack movies like First Class and Spider-man 3. Gee there's a thought.
