Batman should be Marvel. Instead of his whole mythology being rebooted again; where some Robins were never his sidekick, and other bs, he could flourish in an environment where pages aren't being wasted changing history for change's sake but used to tell more stories.

Im sorry but if you vote for DC just for Batman, You are a moron. He is amazing, but what else. Your judging one company on just a (awesome) character.

I love them both. Both have strengths and weaknesses but if I have to choose its DC b.c. DC is what got me started in the first place. Plus DC's comics are a much better read imo. Marvel's comics have been mediocre to say the least as of late to me... AVX, Superior Spider-Man... all let downs to me and just bleh.

Marvel. I only like batman with dc. I would possibly like more characters if they at least modernized some of them. Cant stand that underwear on the outside look. Marvels not afraid to take risks.

Have always read Marvel back in the 60s they always had the more realistic story lines while marvel characters were always flawed DC characters were always good no in between and flawed characters always make better read so I got hooked on Marvel

I have always read more DC then Marvel. I love X-Men and The Avengers and Spider-Man, but I love Batman and his supporting characters, and Green lantern and Flash. Also, blackest night is one of the best crossovers ever, period. And Marvel has just been okay for the past couple years. So I give it to DC.

This site will of course vote Marvel. It's either MARVEL or Batman on here... No one else stands a chance. (Yes, I realize Batman's DC, but I mean in polls in general. If it's not Batman or Marvel Comics, then there's no poll)

@KnightofSteel: Actually if you read the Marvel comics, then you'd know that this poll is equally based on both films and comics for both companies.

@KnightofSteel: Well, I just assumed the poll is also based off the movies. Either way, I can't argue with the point you just made. It's disappointing a lot of people don't read comics anymore. Even though I am 17, I grew up reading the comics that my dad collected. Which includes: Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, The Avengers, The Infinity Gauntlet, The Infinity War, The Infinity Crusade, X-Men, ect. I mean, he does have DC comics. But, I always stuck with Marvel cause they attracted me the most. Yes, the films helped a little bit cause they actually introduced me to these heroes. But, I always had a fondness for the Marvel heroes cause for me, they were the most relatable heroes for me. Particularly, Spider-Man.
But hey, agree to disagree over which company is best.

@Lizard1 and @Knightofsteel actually this is based on both id assume id agree movie have HUGE Influence on these results but as of late in comics tho ive not read much of themodern ones recently,dc's new 52 has received alot of mixed reveiws from fans. and Xmen vs avengers Was a huge cross over event that alotta peeps liked. As much as i hate to say it marvels kickin dc's ass these past few years. I think over all if you compared all rendintions from the first comics to now dc is superior but in modern times marvel's risen however ill always be a dc fan. As KOS sai lets agree todisagree. lol

DC has the more iconic characters but Marvel was the first to make theirs more relatable. Their heroes had more of that human element. As time has gone on I think they're bot pretty similar now
Read more Marvel titles most of my life but have loved both
Right now in film Marvel has the edge. But DC hasn't warmed up to the task yet so I think the gap will narrow over time.
Best graphic novel all time remains KINGDOM COME
Marvel gets my vote by a slim margin

Like both, prefer Marvel. I don't really have brand loyalty, I'll read anything with cool characters and good story. And in my opinion, Marvel just has a lot more of those than DC.
Again, I love both. But I find that Marvel has better characters and cooler characters, I think Iron Man alone is cooler than any DC hero with the exception of Batman, in which case they're tied in my own opinion. I feel the same way about Hulk and Daredevil as well...

I've always been more partial to Marvel's heroes and villains. Just more drawn to them, I guess. Even, though recently, I've caught myself buying more DC comic book than Marvel. Mainly for Green Lantern.
