Thomas Jane Is Back As THE PUNISHER In New Short Film "Dirty Laundry"

It's been eight long years since we've seen Thomas Jane as Frank Castle. He makes his dramatic return to the role in this deliciously violent short, "Dirty Laundry," which also features Ron Perlman.

    "I wanted to make a fan film for a character I've always loved and believed in - a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish -- we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it." -- Thomas Jane

The rights to The Punisher are once again with Marvel and even though three live-action films have been made from the property, none have truly captured Frank Castle in all his brutal glory. Of the three actors that have played The Punisher, to me Thomas Jane's portrayal is clearly the best. His passion for the character has earned him respect within the comic book community.

awesome! i thought gangsta dude shot the kid when he bit him at first :(

anyone that didn't like War Zone because it had comic booky, slightly over the top violence may want to turn away and not watch the short :)

Loved thomas Jane's portrayal punisher. Really tried to watch ray stevenson warzone considering they had some good actors but it was crap. Bring back thomas jane as the punisher. This was friggen fantastic!

Ive been known to give ol Jane a hard time in the past..i dont care for his Punisher movie at all

But this was Badass

* having worked with glass and recycled glass bottles , coke bottles and some liqueur bottles are hard as [frick] and at times next to nearly impossible to smash, they chip and crack, but you really have to hit them in the sweet spot for them to shatter. TRY IT AT HOME KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!

Intruder@ In the 2004 movie i agree..Jane was a pussy ass Punisher....add the shitty orgin,Travolta phoning in his performance for jet fuel and the dancing [frick]wit neighbours its a piss poor Punisher movie

I like this short tho..maybe because Jane feels more like he's settled into the character...plus a bit of bone splatter helps :)

I'm with teabag on this one I enjoyed Tom Janes Punisher but loved Ray Stevenson take, buy this was amazing and gritty.

That would be the best way to start a new film or tv series.

@teabag The Punisher was restrained in that film. Not really Jane's fault! Actually Jane was present and involved in the beginnings of War Zone and the more bloody direction. But they wouldnt give him a good script.

darkmetal@ Yeah it wasnt his fault for the content..but Jane always comes of as a seedy Punisher to me...kinda like between punishing criminals he's busy punishing his junk :)

I wasn't a fan of punisher with jane in, i think ray stevenson played him better even though war-zone had a lot wrong with it.
But jane kicked ass just then and clearly has a passion for the character, mixing the violence of war zone with the better writing of janes movie clearly works.
Please marvel give the guy another chance, we all know thats the reason jane made this video!

I think I might like Jane's Punisher better, but there's no way I can say WAR ZONE wasn't on some hard Comicbook shit. The kills and Stevenson's look was undeniable (better than Volstagg). War Zone is a fun, bloody B-Movie and Jane's Punisher is an 80's style, action revenge flick. Nice to see Jane in the role again and with War Zone style violence lol. Damn

@teabag i agree the movie was a poor attempt but it was in part the fault of travolta's mob boss attempt was so lame but jane did the punisher well, much better than earlier attempt by big named action star lol.
he should have been given a second chance with better supporting cast and with this he seems to have found the edge he missed in his earlier punisher.
in my humble opinion he should be given the chance.

Ray Stevenson and Thomas Jane are both great actors.
I will say that in my personal opinion Stevenson plays the psychotic cold blooded Punisher to the T. He really instills fear into the audience. He has a menacing stature and voice and screams The Punisher.....But Thomas Jane can give whatever is left of Frank Castle....depth.

The first Punisher film lacked the cold blooded Punisher Atmosphere, a half assed script, poor dialogue and a rather lazy storyline.
Warzone had an even worse script. A first time female "action" Director. Who apprently must have been somebodys cousin or something because what she did with the differnt colored scenes to give it a more "comic book" feel was stupid and then the action sequences were way to over the top?

Now this 10 min clip is better than the two films combined. I give Kudos to Thomas Jane and Ron Pearlman for being Pro Active Actors. Who have the balls to involve themselves and their time in a project that we will either see results from or never hear of anything else like this again.
Thomas Jand and Ron Pearlman have my deepest respects for basically letting Marvel know hey! this character has tremendous potential if handled correctly.

Ladies and Gentlemen....

The Punisher has arrived!!!

That was awesome, there's no way they should have made that abomination Punisher War Zone. Punisher starring Thomas Jane was abit disapointing but fun, all they had to do was do another with TJ make it more gritty just like this film is. This was fantastic and better than both Punisher films combined. Bring back Thomas Jane.

i very much liked all 3 punisher movies. if i never read Welcome Back, Frank i probably would like the 2004 punisher film a little more. the director's cut helps

so Fox own the rights to Punisher, Daredevil, Fantastic Four and X-Men yet they have not started their own MCU? and they haven't done Wolverine vs Punisher, Punisher and Daredevil teamup or Fantastic Four and X-Men team up?! WHAT THE FUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you could make a pretty sick ass team using the characters that they own, they either need to get started or give the damn rights back to MARVEL for an epic MCU!!!!!!!!

Well. That was absolutely [frick]ing amazing. I still think Stevenson was the better Punisher, but this was bloody brilliant. Better than both (don't count that Lundgren version as a Punisher film) previous movies.

That was frickin awesomestacular! Proof that Thomas Jane IS the damn Punisher right there. Marvel please call Jane to reprise the role NOW.

All we need now is the IM 3, Ant-man, & Man of Steel (in high quality) footage and it'll be satisfaction.

Hey, let's watch Frank Castle watch as a woman gets beaten, and walk off as she's beaten some more and probably raped.
Let's watch him stare blankly and try to ignore the kid being beaten and robbed.
Let's watch silly over the top CGI blood splatter everywhere while Frank dishes out punishment far too late with the worlds most indestructible bottle of Jack.

The Punisher wouldn't DO THAT.
He' have taken out that friggin' gangbanger and anyone that stood in his way the second he hit that woman for the first time.

People that think THIS crap is The Punisher are people that obviously never picked up a Punisher comic in their life.
