Michael Bay. Ugh. Megan Fox will replace Carl Urban and Sulu will be a slow motion explosion.
Cap1 - 5/24/2013, 1:42 PM
Edgar Wright.
GodzillaKart - 5/24/2013, 1:42 PM
Bird or Reeves would be good for this.

I would be nice to see some Star Trek without all the lens flares.
FOOM - 5/24/2013, 1:45 PM
George Lucas!
exe - 5/24/2013, 1:46 PM
Chris Nolan will direct the shit out of this.

Obviously making it cerebral like the original Trek.

Bryan Singer's already a lifelong fan. Let him do it.
CaptainAmerica31 - 5/24/2013, 2:07 PM
I'm sure we'll still see lense flares, rian Johnson, he's the best man for this. He's fimiliar with the Sci-Fi genre with looper
marckos - 5/24/2013, 2:51 PM
Edgar Wright, Duncan Jones & Joe Cornish

Brad Bird FTW
BillyBatson1000 - 5/24/2013, 3:59 PM
Christopher Nolan. Final scene: the whole reboot is a Holodeck adventure being played by the crew of "Enterprise."

Yeah, I'm joking.
Rowsdower - 5/24/2013, 5:24 PM
Bryan Singer should do it.
Dragonpiece - 5/24/2013, 5:55 PM
It's pretty obvious Brad Bird will do it if J.J leaves
iam8bit - 5/24/2013, 5:58 PM
Alfonso Cuarón all the way. Fantastic director.
tattoo78 - 5/24/2013, 6:15 PM

Only JJ can make Star Trek 3. Wouldn't like it if they switched directors.
harley2011 - 5/24/2013, 7:09 PM
Hopefully whoever is they shoot on film as JJ, did. It does not need to look like a video game, like the Avengers.

[frick] Bryan Singer. He's a no talent hack who burns everything he touches.
hartley07 - 5/24/2013, 8:08 PM
brian singer and michael bay need to get together and make the worst movie of all time. regrettably, i think i would pay to see it just so i could tell my children i was there, opening day for the worst movie ever created.
cubrn - 5/24/2013, 9:05 PM
There was a 4 year gap in between the first and second Star Trek reboot movies. I think JJ can direct Star Wars and still have time to direct the third Star Trek and have it be within that same four year gap
Joeyfxx - 5/24/2013, 9:20 PM
Brad Bird is the man for the job.
renaudbruce - 5/24/2013, 10:03 PM
Guy Ritchie would be my pick!!
Danbojohnj - 5/24/2013, 10:44 PM
Spielberg.
Canon108 - 5/24/2013, 10:54 PM
Brad Bird or Matt Reeves would be the best 'logical' choices...none of the remaining directors fit Abrams's style. They need to keep the consistency of the first two...
ClobberPot - 5/25/2013, 12:32 AM
Justin Lin
Danbojohnj - 5/25/2013, 1:55 AM
or Spike Jonez
Danbojohnj - 5/25/2013, 1:55 AM
ST needs more cosmic weirdness.
GoodbyeApollo - 5/25/2013, 8:53 AM
Bryan Singer, he knows the material. Also Joss Whedon for his cinematic eye, but I guess he'll be working on the avengers sequel by then
