COMICS: First Look At Frank Miller And Steven Grant's ROBOCOP: THE LAST STAND #1

On sale TODAY, Steven Grant (2 Guns) is joined by artist Korkut Oztekin to adapt Frank Miller's unused and uncut screenplay for the final RoboCop movie. It's brutal, bloody and extremely action-packed, and you can check it out after the jump!

Frank Miller’s incredible screenplay has been brought to life in this hard-hitting Steven Grant (2 GUNS, PUNISHER: CIRCLE OF BLOOD) penned adaptation. With all the brains, guts, and bullets that made the first film an instant classic, this is a comic event not to miss.

The police force has disbanded. The people of Detroit have been evicted from their homes. ED-209’s and OCP officers run the streets. With OCP’s vision for Delta City well underway, Robocop may be his city’s last hope. This is Robocop’s last stand, as it was always intended to be.

Old School RoboCop design! That's great! This must be a good comic book RoboCop story. Want to see a ED-209 on previews)) Where is the best robot of the universe?!)

Hope Padilha's pg-13 piece of sh!t will be epic commercial flop, black re-designed Robo sucks.

Batman + Dredd + T800 = Robocop
titansupes - 8/7/2013, 5:27 AM
That actually looks okay.

I don't know how Frank Miller considers himself the true writer of Robocop when neither of his screenplays saw the screen in anywhere near their entireity and the original movie, that everyone loves and recognises as Robocop, was nothing to do with Miller and was pretty much 99% Paul Verhoeven's vision / version (of someone else's original script).

Terrible art. Geez, we are not in the 70s anymore.
Duratok - 8/7/2013, 7:06 AM
Looks cool, but from the panels here this is just a rehash of The Dark Knight Returns.

Why couldnt they use this suit for the freaking movie. Who said yes to the black football pads? He should get a slap who ever agree with that suit.

Is Miller still writing...

"Criminal is suddenly yanked through roof by unseen force,

Second Criminal: I'll do it, man! Whoever you are back....

Second criminal is suddenly yank through window."

...because he does that a lot.

Happened a lot in the Dark Knight Rises, and Robocop isn't exactly a stealthy crime fighter.

Who the hell wants to see Frank Miller write anymore. His current works are either bloated and convoluted (TDKSA), idiotic and nonsensical (ASBAR), or just offensive and disgusting (Holy Terror).

@ CaptainObvious - Apparently you've missed the credits, Cap. It's actually written by Steven Grant. Well, "adapted," but I'm sure he did more than decide what each page/panel was.

Besides, I don't know the origins of this story by Miller, but you gotta figure it's about 20 years old if it's based on his vision for the movie. You know, the time back when Miller was still a writer.
