6 New Clips From Johnny Depp's TRANSCENDENCE

Come check out six new clips from Wally Pfister's directorial debut, Transcendence. They features scenes with Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy and Morgan Freeman.

Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, working to create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. His highly controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the prime target of anti-technology extremists who will do whatever it takes to stop him. However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become the catalyst for him to succeed—to be a participant in his own transcendence. For his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can…but if they should. Their worst fears are realized as Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. The only thing that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him.

TRANSCENDENCE - directed by Wally Pfister, from a screenplay written by Jack Paglen. Christopher Nolan and his wife Emma Thomas are Executive Producers. The cast includes: Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, Clifton Collins, Jr., and Morgan Freeman. In theaters and IMAX on April 18.

Only thing I didn't like is that the second to last clip lessens for me the effect of the last clip. Maybe the repetition makes senses within the movie.

Definitely not a new version of The Lawnmower Man.

This film in some ways reminds me of Brainiac.

Looks great.

Saw the trailer for this with The Winter Solder. Looks decent enough, but it'll probably be another bomb.

Now that is a movie!

Same. I would want Brainiac to handled was more an AI without form that controls all and can manipulate technology and is a grave threat. Much better than Johns simply making him a big bad green organic alien... UGH!

So Morgan Freeman is in two movies this year about people using more of their mind than has ever been possible? I don't think this brain can handle it.

MultipleChoice - Exactly. If you hate Dc so much than go to Marvel or Image. Guy bashes Dc more than the average Marvel trolls.

I believe we called a truce a while back and have been rather civil since? Also yes, I believe my interpretation of Brainiac is superior to Johns' specific version in Superman: Brainiac. Not that I'm trying to insinuate that I'm superior to Johns or anything, as that is a very arrogant thing to say, but I feel Johns' handling of Brainiac in that story was quite poor.

I care more about DC. Also, the basic message of my comment is AI Brainiac > Organic Brainiac. If I called Brainiac a shit villain altogether then you idiots would have had more of a right to act like I'm some evil bad guy.
