While James Gray's mysterious sci-fi space epic Ad Astra won't be out in theaters until September, Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Fox have just shared an intriguing new TV spot with fresh footage as Academy Award-winner Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) races against the clock to uncover his father's (Tommy Lee Jones) secrets in order to save the solar system and the world as we know it. 

The film will follow Roy McBride (Brad Pitt), an astronaut who traverses the solar system in a bid to find his long lost father (Tommy Lee Jones), while simultaneously uncovering the shocking truth behind the failure of his dad's initial mission, which, according to the trailers, involved searching for extraterrestrial life. 

In addition to Pitt, the cast features Tommy Lee Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Ruth Negga (Preacher), Liv Tyler (The Incredible Hulk), Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games), Jamie Kennedy (Scream), John Finn (The Walking Dead), Kimberly Elise (Death Wish), Bobby Nish (ER), LisaGay Hamilton (Vice), and John Ortiz (Bumblebee).

Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.

He really isn't aging that well. He's obviously in shape and still looks handsome, but those suitcases below his eyes… He looks like he's been deprived of sleep and water boarded.
