CATCHING FIRE: First Look At Philip Seymour Hoffman As Plutarch Heavensbee

We have 3 more Hunger Games: Catching Fire stills from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly here, featuring our first glimpse of the brilliant Philip Seymour Hoffman, as well as Katniss' mother and sister, and Donald Sutherland as President Snow..

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22, 2013.

Yeah these are the stills I was talking about in the previous article. I don't know why but these just interest me more than any Katniss or Gale stuff.

The costume design is kind of bland.

Oh look. Actual costumes that look decent. No Lady Gaga nightmares going on in this film.

I don't care are about this film, yet I am looking at all the articles about it wtf. Philip Seymour Hoffman is awesome though.

This is being written by Michael Arndt, the writer of Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3, and Star Wars Episode VII so it's going to be awesome.

What with it being written by Michael Ardnt, this and Oblivion should be a great way of telling what we can expect from Star Wars Episode VII. He's proven himself a very strong writer, and with two big blockbuster sic-fi's both coming out this year, we'll hopefully have a much better idea of what to expect in 2015!

This should be good, Hunger Games was unexpectedly great, so this should be too, the book is, though I found Mockingjay very disappointing. Glad to see they've scaled back on the costumes. Whilst I understand that they're meant to dress extravagantly, the nature of it in the first film bugged me.

I was expecting someone with black hair, but he'll do. He might even be great. We'll see.

Hoffman should play a badguy in a Superheroe flick... "Call me Fat pedofile..." ... Or something like that.
