Here we have the first in a new series of character posters for the upcoming sequel to The Hunger Games. These first four feature Sam Claflin's Finnick, Lynn Cohen's Mags, Josh Hutcherson's Peeta, and Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22, 2013.

I do not know how anyone can talk about Catching Fire without bringing up the major plot twists and spoilers. Lionsgate has done a fantastic job not showing any spoilers in the trailer for the first movie (not showing any arena scenes) to the teaser for the second movie (not showing certain characters as well as only covering the first 8 chapters were in the trailer). Catching Fire has about 5 plot twists in it alone.

Too bad Mags dies by poisonous gas. I'm only hyped for the next film which is Mockingjay.

Brandon Routh should have been Finnick.

Actually Garrett Hedlund should have been Finnick, that is who I pictured when I read the book. I also pictured John goodman as Plutarch, but Phillip Seymour Hoffman I have no objections to.

Hedlund was offered the role of Finnick but turned it down cause he didnt have time to read the book he said. He can take a day or two to read a book for crying outloud

It's been awhile since I read it. Hardly remember anything that happens.

I hope Finnick and Johanna get a decent amount of screen time. I hope it isn't all about Peeta and Katniss.
Pooh - 7/16/2013, 7:58 PM
I imagined Finnick to be more sly and have darker hair, but not complaining.
