DOCTOR WHO: Peter Capaldi's New 'Doctor' Featured On Latest Entertainment Weekly Cover

Doctor Who didn't make it to this year's San Diego Comic-Con, but Peter Capldi's Doctor is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, and you can check out that along with some comments from the actor after the jump. Check it out!

"He’s more alien than we’ve seen him for a while," Peter Capaldi told Entertainment Weekly in their latest issue when asked about how his Doctor differs to previous iterations in the next season of Doctor Who. "He is less patient with the foibles of human beings." The magazine features interviews with Capaldi, as well as showrunner Steven Moffat and co-star Jenna Coleman. The popular series will return with a feature length episode (titled "Deep Breath") on August 23rd.

he's wearing a wedding ring!? That's the first I've ever seen of him admit to being married.

@screechop, it's a Capaldi thing. He never takes out his ring when acting.
DannyRand1225 - 7/30/2014, 8:06 AM
man.. he is gonna be an awesome Doctor..cant wait!!
Montegarde - 7/30/2014, 8:08 AM
@ProfessorX He looks like he just bowled, and he's waiting to move until he sees where the ball goes.

@Celotom, I googled it after and although he doesn't take off his wedding ring, it appears they've added a section to it.

looks like they're allowing him to keep his wedding ring on and are compensating for that by adding a section to make it look like a ring the doctor would wear. Some are also speculating that it'll be his form of the sonic screwdriver. Which honestly sounds kind of stupid, I can't imagine him using his ring as a screwdriver as much as Matt Smith used his. At the same time I've heard they're going to limit the use of the screwdriver as it's become too big in the modern series.

The first Doctor also wore a ring, nothing strange in that.
Clara - 7/30/2014, 9:38 AM
@sreechop, I watched the first episode from the leaked episodes. He just wears it in the end and had no explanation :/

Wearing a ring is nothing compared to some of the utterly ridiculous affectations previous Doctors sported.

Charles Dance for new Master!
campblood - 7/30/2014, 11:06 AM
I hope he gets a new screwdriver with a yellow or orange light
Clara - 7/30/2014, 12:27 PM
@campblood, from the filming that happened (even the last episode), he won't change the screwdriver this season :/
campblood - 7/30/2014, 1:36 PM
@Celotom keep in mind Matt had dave's screwdriver before he got his own. even dave had a upgrade of eccleston's

@COREYxYEROC - Yeah, I'd say the show is pretty big over on this side of the pond.

Damn I said 'pond'... The Ponds... THE FEELSSSSSS!!!

Seriously though, my daughter has been into it since the 10th Doctor and I've been watching it since the 4th Doctor. I got her the scarf for Christmas a few years ago.

Capaldi looks fantastic. I can't freaking wait!!
Clara - 7/31/2014, 2:29 PM
@campblood, I know. I was talking about the last episode from the season. He didn't changed it.
