From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. Lucy also stars Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman and is produced by Virginie Besson-Silla for EuropaCorp. Universal Pictures will distribute the movie worldwide, except for France, Benelux and China.

That's rad. It's not gonna be a better flick than Under The Skin though. No way never no how.

wasnt the movie just a metaphor for being on drugs? Her name is Lucy. Who knows not like I or anyone respectable will ever watch it until HBO re-airs it 5 times a day for 5 months straight.

Really thought this movie was a waste of time. Stupid plot, sub-par acting, atrocious ending. Could've been worse, but could've been much much better.

Tripping Balls. .

The specific idea of a person transcending our limited perception of reality is awesome. But, the way this movie did it sucked. 99% of HUMAN brain capacity and you aren't there yet. But 100% and suddenly you become a god? Good thing our brains have that capacity, because just a fraction less and that guy's bullet would have killed her. What about a monkey, whose brain is smaller? What about a being whose brain is bigger and/or more efficient? Once they reach their 70%, our 100%, what then? They just bypass the last 30% because they already ascended?
I think Luc Besson is losing or long ago lost whatever he had. I'll always like The Fifth Element though.

"This movie made me rethink my whole life"
Not sure if serious...
But if you are :P
Yeah, there is something about the movie that sticks with me. It wasn't all bad. Movies that make you think about human portential have at least that going for them. Just the idea alone that we have the ability to think about such things gives me hope for our species, though times now look grim to me for all kinds of reasons.
