New Action-Packed TV Spot For BATTLESHIP Debuts

A brand new television ad is now online for the Peter Berg-directed science fiction film Battleship. Featuring more action-packed footage, hit the jump to check it out...

Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Inspired by Hasbro's classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper's fiancee; Alexander Skarsgard as Hopper's older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper's crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone's superior (and Sam's father), Admiral Shane.

Battleship is now playing internationally, and it is set to hit US theatres on May 18, 2012.

Looks entertaining, will wait for rental though.

Oh, and Family Force 5 rocks (their new album's mostly a let down though).
GiantNerd - 4/20/2012, 2:21 PM
Brooklyn Decker is nice to look at but I would never see this in a theater. This has red box written all over it.
HelaGood - 4/20/2012, 2:37 PM
i confirm PaulRom's comment...rental
JoshWilding - 4/20/2012, 2:49 PM
Rubbish film.
GreyChaos13Zero - 4/20/2012, 3:06 PM
cool, blu-ray for me, sooner or later?)
Ghostfire - 4/20/2012, 3:16 PM
Thanks for the explanation. I never understood it till' now. You are a wise philosopher, Mr. Tea.

Oh, and I confirm Hela's & JoshWilding's comment.
SpiderFan35 - 4/20/2012, 3:27 PM
Does not look any worse than all three Transformers movies, those only got love due to misguided childhood nostalgia, still just CGI-laden cinematic junk food.

On a positive note that is a cool song, they should have used that in the first Avengers trailer instead of NIN.

oops did I accidentally log in to ... nope..

who honestly gives a crap about this movie?
and WHY the hell is it being reported about here?!
KALel3412 - 4/20/2012, 3:54 PM
i watched it last nite and it actually isnt that bad
pro346 - 4/20/2012, 4:04 PM
This movie was good fun! I have serious doudts about wildings reviews....Im sure I read in his hunger games review that the CGI effects were flawless lol!
Ghostfire - 4/20/2012, 4:10 PM
I might disagree with Wilding's reviews once in awhile, but I take his word on this one. Battleshit, as our good friend Tea calls it, is just Transformers at sea.

Will this be a hit, of course. Why, cause numbless teenagers will definitely call this a masterpiece.
Ghostfire - 4/20/2012, 4:16 PM
Dude, you'll be the death of me..
HalEl - 4/20/2012, 4:17 PM
uggggh, once again.. why is this on CBM?
pro346 - 4/20/2012, 4:32 PM
@halel once again its a science fiction action movie that's why!
pro346 - 4/20/2012, 4:36 PM
@ghostfire its more like independence day than transformers....if you want non stop action after the 25 minute mark and flawless CGI (I'm not talking about wildings idea of flawless CGI) see it.
HalEl - 4/20/2012, 5:36 PM
I'm gonna have to side with Ironman53 on this one, those photos serve more purpose than this "film"
thalidomide - 4/20/2012, 7:31 PM

That's a well thought out review for Battleship :P
AUSSYACE - 4/20/2012, 7:32 PM
Taking my Father to see it next week...
TurtlesRAwesome - 4/21/2012, 3:06 AM
It will draw an audience. How many weeks at number 1 will the avengers run?
ComicReader - 4/21/2012, 8:10 AM

dadisatish - 4/21/2012, 9:51 AM
