New Poster For M. Night Shyamalan's AFTER EARTH Spotted

A brand new poster has been spotted for the M. Night Shyamalan-directed science fiction adventure film After Earth, starring Will Smith and Jaden Smith, as father and son who crash-land on a long-abandoned planet Earth. Check it out...

A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.

Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and starring Jaden Smith, Will Smith, Isabelle Fuhrman and Zoë Kravitz, After Earth is set to hit theatres on June 7, 2013.

Once I read that Leverage was canceled, that's the first thing that came to mind.

gambgel - 12/23/2012, 3:54 PM

Chadwick Boseman for BP
Jimdlux - 12/23/2012, 4:24 PM
Given the name and the appearance of Earth in the trailer, I predict the twist at the end is they are in the past, not the future.
SWonder916 - 12/23/2012, 4:52 PM
@MarvelPsycho79 Not many people have heard or seen Chadwick Boseman yet,but he's starring as Jackie Robinson next year in that film "42" with Harrison Ford.I could definitely see him,Aldis Hodge or my personal and favorite pick, NATE PARKER, for the role of T'Challa
Anthrax - 12/23/2012, 5:25 PM
@jimdlux omg I think thats actually the twist sounds something like shamamalama would do lol

The whole back facing poster has been done to hell. I'm pretty sure Star Trek's doing it too..
staypuffed - 12/23/2012, 7:50 PM
Film looks pretty good, but I'm more excited about Oblivion, to be honest.
AztecRainGod - 12/23/2012, 8:06 PM
M Night needs to hang it up, his last 4 or so movies have been trash.
MutantEquality - 12/23/2012, 8:16 PM
just say the trailer and I'm actually interested. I'm just a bit confused. I thought the Earth was trashed and poisonous or something. Looks like it's still pretty nice with wild life and everything. I'll agree with you all though, M Night has been trash for awhile now. Fool me once shame on you, fool me what is this? 5 times STILL shame on me.
subzero1077 - 12/23/2012, 8:53 PM
So sick of M Night Shamalamala! Nothing but a joke of a director.
WolvieCBM - 12/23/2012, 9:04 PM
R3dRUM: Nice, thanks.

Will Cypher declare his allegiance to angus in this one also? I'd love for this film to be a success, but after what Sham-longah-ding-dong has done to me the last (4?) outings..., once again I must ask why this guy(not that he's not worthy) of a 60grand pic at this point, but why does he still get tentpoles? Who and what dirt does he have? "Where? Who? Summer, summer, summer..,time!" Label me as a hater.., or an accurate non-biased supporter of righteousness throughout daily living; if that helpas your daily living. Of course that would not be a goal of a lower income family or fan of Chan's KK.., yeah.

-Karate Kid '84

-generic yet appropriate tag should be this: Karate Kid 4: Demographics Can't Save Your Soul.
Logan5 - 12/23/2012, 11:10 PM

Karate Kid. Yeah.

Note to Will Smith's son: "whatever you need!"

Just look at those Beiber instagrams.., once again.., pathetic. Puberty. Millions. Puberty. Millions. Puberty. Insecure businessmen. Puberty. Millions.

Your mom is onboard today(if it bothers you little man.., evaluate and progress forward.., otherwise.., sorry I'm pure jewish raised in the midwest.., I'm a backstabber.., move on. Yep, you all used technology to advance greed & idiocy(the two go hand and hand). So you've occupied space crafts with Jersey Shore members and "My Fair Brady" eps. Curry.., what drug gets you through it? I've spent some time on that shore, have abs and a great creative spirit.., oh wait, you're here for a marketable dollar.., I'm sorry.., it's like you read my mind: the Soup.
Logan5 - 12/24/2012, 1:14 AM

Are you in line or something? His scripst and receipts alone should dictate his career and yet it doesn't. Hmm. Explain? Please, you're a fan, let me know.., for serious.
Logan5 - 12/24/2012, 1:18 AM
Dammit, I thought this was a side project.
