I finally seen Star Trek(2009) earlier this year(shut up!) and that was a GREAT movie! Can't wait for the sequel.

looks bloody good.
Facade - 3/9/2013, 8:38 AM
This is my most anticipated movie for the Summer! It may not be the biggest grossing, but it looks the best. Yup, better than IM3 and MOS.

Love it! As a huge Trek Fan it is so awesome to see TOS in this epic a scale. I wonder about the Easter Egg's in this movie.
ComicFan1134 - 3/9/2013, 8:52 AM

@SimyJo lmao : )
Ceejay - 3/9/2013, 9:16 AM
As a huge Trek fan this is a movie like the last one that ignores every single thing that Star Trek is about and simply uses the name to create yet another action comedy the masses. PASS
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/9/2013, 9:30 AM
That trailer was put together weirdly.
continuezero - 3/9/2013, 9:35 AM
@Ceejay See I'm also a huge fan and I love that Trek has evolved but keep elements from the original. I actually really like this series and I've been a fan of all the series's (cept for Enterprise) but I get what you mean about it not being completely true to source.
Niklander - 3/9/2013, 9:39 AM
Not sure but that trailer seems weirdly edited. Paramount dont [frick] up the marketing
AsianVersionOfET - 3/9/2013, 9:42 AM
The part at 0:27 where they're flying through space looks cool. Other than that, pretty average trailer.
AsianVersionOfET - 3/9/2013, 9:43 AM
@THEDARKNIGHT1939 and niklander, completely agreed.
Bodwulf - 3/9/2013, 9:55 AM

Tony93 - 3/9/2013, 9:56 AM
thats true, it was more of a meh for me,
if they edited better it would have been astounding
TyrantBossMedia - 3/9/2013, 9:58 AM
Action overkill. The original premise behind Star Trek has been killed.
BboiBlack - 3/9/2013, 9:59 AM
and just like that, we have what should have been the green lantern sequel
continuezero - 3/9/2013, 10:00 AM
@TyrantBoss I hear ya, although I always wanted more action from my Trek. I always felt they fell a little short with it sometimes.
EagleEye21 - 3/9/2013, 10:02 AM
@Chloefornication- Then you've never watched the original Star Trek series
IIIAdamantiumIII - 3/9/2013, 10:05 AM
shhhhhhhhiiiiiiittttttttt movie
JackBauer - 3/9/2013, 10:15 AM
I'm probably one of the biggest Trek fans you'll ever meet, watched TOS reruns way before TNG was ever conceived, and I have no problem with this new alternate universe. I think it looks great. If I want to watch the "real" Star Trek I'll pull it up on Netflix.
JacksonVegaIII - 3/9/2013, 10:27 AM
The 1st one was a good light hearted sci fi actioneer. I never got into star trek but I caught an episode of the original a few month back and was surprised by its thoughtfulness, it was actually quite interesting and intelligent, my problem with Abrams version is its idea of science fiction is actually just space ships and futuristic stuff. Personally I like a bit more 'science' in my sci fi. From what little ive seen i get the impression the original actually involved some interesting science and philosophical aspects to it, something Abrams almost completely ignores.

Id say in general modern Sci Fi films should involve more science. Its the reason Im really looking forward to Nolans next effort and its the reason I fu.cking love Futurama

CaptainPresley - 3/9/2013, 10:37 AM
I''m with JackBauer. I'm old school Trek. I watched TOS as a wee lad during its original airing, but I love this new take on it. I'm happy to see a new generation enjoy these characters I grew up with. If Trek hadn't evolved it surely would have died. The old still exists and I can pull out my DVD's & Blu-ray's any time I want.
Gary8264 - 3/9/2013, 10:54 AM
Just finished watchin' the original on Netflix, and loved it as much now as I did growin' up with it. I actually like the new take on Trek, I think that Abrams got the right people to portray the original characters, and that was my main concern....would I believe the new Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty... etc.
The original was more 'bout character interaction than anythin'. The stories always had social value, but the main thin' was always character. To me, that's what makes Trek so endearin'.
