ORPHAN BLACK Comic Book Series Announced For 2015

If you're not watching this show, you really should be. IDW Publishing has announced a comic book series for BBC America's critically acclaimed clone drama Orphan Black, which stars the brilliant Tatiana Maslany in the lead role playing a variation of characters. Come check it out!

If you're not watching BBC America's critically acclaimed clone drama Orphan Black, you're missing out on one of the best shows on television and you're also missing out on lead actress Tatiana Maslany's performance, which is quite possibly one of the greatest performances ever captured on screen.

Earlier today, IDW Publishing announced that they will be releasing a series of comic books that will tell "all-new stories set in the complex and thrilling world of Orphan Black." The series has been announced for an early 2015 release date. IDW Chief Creative Officer/Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall said in a statement that the captivating show was a perfect premise for a comic series. He also added: "as the second season has expanded the series in exciting new directions, that has only increased the amount of stories we’ll be able to tell in comic-book form."

IDW will work closely with the producers of Orphan Black to help expand the world the show has built. The first cover was done by artist Nick Runge and you can check it out below!

Season two of BBC AMERICA’s dramatic conspiracy thriller, Orphan Black, hits the ground running with Sarah (Golden Globe® nominee Tatiana Maslany, Parks and Recreation) in a desperate race to find her missing daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler) – a wild pursuit that brings her head-to-head with ruthless pro-clone, Rachel (Maslany). This season also rejoins Sarah’s clone sisters Alison (Maslany) and Cosima (Maslany) as they struggle to keep their clone world a secret and pick up the pieces of their broken lives – all while dealing with the harsh reality that no one around them can be trusted.

Orphan Black will return Spring 2015.

I've yet to watch season 2 but the first was amazing.

Isn't this about clones or something?

TheDudeRusty Season 2 was quite good. The story wasn't as intimate as the first season, and there were a couple of nearly-shark-jumping moments, but for a story that is in its second year, and rapidly expending, it is really worth a look.

I am in love with Tatiana Maslany. Her acting is amazing. Something about her tingles my loins.

didn't like season 2 of OB as much as season 1 but im cool with a book series

Great series, but it really leans heavily on the outstanding performances (of Maslany, of course, but also the whole astounding cast), so I'm not sure how it would work as a comic.
