So looking forward to this, lets hope Peter Capaldi lives up to the hype

Told y'all for a year now.....CAPALDI will be very reminiscent of PERTWEE it's not creative it's more rebooting. The last few drs worked only bc they were just different enough. ECCS is the only unique one. TANNANT is reminiscent of DAVISON, and SMITH was remix cent of TROUGHTON.

Look at CAPALDI dressed in velvet if he had a frilly shirt it'd be even more apparent lol

Della, have you seen the latest episode? I've read the scripts too, the way Capaldi acts and is written is nothing like Pertwee.

If anything it's definitely more reminiscent of Baker and Eccleston mixed together. I think there's a bit of Hartnell thrown in, but Capaldi's Doctor is old and tired of everything, not old and restless. Hell, it might be most reminiscent of Paul McGann during Dark Eyes.

@dellamorte1872: He's actually more reminiscent of Four, with his own spin, and a touch of the First's grumpiness and Eight's sense of adventure. The first half hour was a bit hard to swallow but that whole post-regen manic is expected. Once he settles into the character after that first half hour, he's wonderful.

People accustomed to Tennant and Smith are certainly going to have an adjustment period.

@ChanceX74, that whole episode was pretty much a slap in the face to the audience for even thinking about abandoning this Doctor. I really loved the episode lol
