Tatum & Kunis' JUPITER ASCENDING Takes Latest Cover Of TOTAL FILM

Tatum & Kunis' JUPITER ASCENDING Takes Latest Cover Of TOTAL FILM

Yesterday came the news that Andy and Lana Wachowski's upcoming sci-fi flick Jupiter Ascending was delayed until next February. However, Total Film magazine has released their latest cover, featuring the film's stars Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street) and Mila Kunis (Oz: The Great and Powerful).

Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in "Jupiter Ascending," an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski. Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space, "Jupiter Ascending" is written and directed by the Wachowskis.

WB should have tell them about the delay
anthonyEstark - 6/4/2014, 3:26 PM
Total Film does know about the delay, but since it was already made, they just used the poster anyway.
Batmantis - 6/4/2014, 3:30 PM

What does it matter the film got delayed? Does that mean it shouldn't feature in magazines?

This looks like it could actually be some fun.
I get a little vibe of Fifth Element, and I liked that a lot more than I thought I would.
OnePunchBaldy - 6/4/2014, 3:39 PM
Channing looks like an anime character
Mrsinister - 6/4/2014, 3:45 PM
I'm still excited for this movie. It'll be nice to have a sci fi movie come out in February
sKeemAn - 6/4/2014, 3:46 PM
Ya know I really want the Wachoski's to succeed with this one. Its been a while since they've made a good film.
SuperDude001 - 6/4/2014, 3:51 PM
Not very excited for this film, but I'll give it a shot.
And you can't blame Total Film for the use of the cover, the delay was pretty recent and it's not like they can just magic up a whole different cover and main article in a short time
SuperDude001 - 6/4/2014, 4:00 PM
My only problem though is that the cover has 'Star Wars Episode VII' at the top in a font the same size (if not v slightly bigger) than the words 'Jupiter Ascending' which just makes me think stupid people will start confusing the film for the new Star Wars

in an alternate universe, they could have been Gambit and Rogue, not that Im a fan of Mila or Channing

RetroFit - 6/4/2014, 4:58 PM
hahahaha I bet the office of this magazine collectively crapped when they say it's been pushed off until Feb of next year. Yet another outfit that was sucked in by 'Channing Tatum, he's so hot right now!'.
Banner123 - 6/4/2014, 5:02 PM
I have to say, while to all of us, pushing the movie back to February may seem bad, or like a bad sign in regards to the quality and entertainment value of the film, it could end up being a blessing in disguise for the movie and Wachowskis. Between Edge of Tomorrow, Guardians, and whatever else is coming this summer it would be easy for the film to get lost in the shuffle. The general public may think that a February release equates to a death sentence, but think about it. This is perfect 'counter programming' for the Valentine's Day season. Amongst all the Rom-Coms and chick flicks, an original sci-fi action adventure starring two of the 'hottest' young leads can really capitalize on the fact that it coulld appeal to a wide audience. Tatum for the ladies, Kunis for the guys, Kunis as a strong female lead for girls, crazy special effects, fight scenes, and action for boys, and of course the creators of The Matrix bringing a new and original sci-fi flick to the table. Between weather(for a lot of people) and a potential lack of movie options at the time, this movie could really come out of nowhere to not only make money, but really surprise people. It of course may not happen, but as a huge fan of Cloud Atlas, I'll at least head to the theater to check it out and see what they come up with next.
ObviousTheCaptain - 6/4/2014, 5:10 PM

You forgot something. 50 shades of grey is coming om february. I am pretty shore that couples are going to see that first than Jupiter Ascending
DurtyTalynt - 6/4/2014, 5:38 PM
Crackin up! I dont need to say anything else.
MakluIV - 6/4/2014, 8:20 PM
lol it's like showing a banner at comic con, then pushing the movie back a year all over again.
mctrinket - 6/4/2014, 8:27 PM
"They never made a bad movie"?

Didja see Speed Racer?

PhilipG - 6/4/2014, 8:43 PM

"they never made a bad movie"

Have you ever disagreed with an opinion so much you forget how to make words? That just happened to me. It looked something like this.

loki668 - 6/4/2014, 10:58 PM
"they never made a bad movie"

MightyZeus - 6/5/2014, 12:36 AM
That cover looks horrible, sorry i'm harshly judging the cover but Mila looks highly uninterested. As for the director's not making a bad movie, i guess we all forgot about Speed Racer. Sure Cloud Atlas had some nice visuals but that was not enough to redeem the films bad screenplay.
loki668 - 6/5/2014, 4:40 AM
Speed Racer is bad, in my opinion. Like Green Lantern and Spiderman 3 had a baby "bad". Cloud Atlas was okay. Matrix was good, the other two were not (once again, my opinion). As for what's wrong with Speed Racer? Nothing much, just everything between the opening and closing credits.
