Teaser Poster For Alfonso Cuaron's GRAVITY Now Online

With the full teaser trailer finally debuting tomorrow, the first poster for director Alfonso Cuaron's highly anticipated science fiction film Gravity (starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock) has been released. Check it out after the jump.

Dr. Ryan Stone is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone--tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth...and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

Gravity stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. The film is set to hit theaters October 4th. Stay tuned tomorrow for the premiere of the teaser trailer.

Shit movie. Shit director.
MrYurMomm - 5/8/2013, 10:31 AM

shit avatar. shit username. shit comment. shit opinion.

ANYWAYS, I heard this movie has a 35 minute long shot that was done in one take. Just imagine how intense that was for the actors involved.. just rolling film for 35 minutes straight, and if you [frick]ed up, forget it, you just cost the production company a couple hundred grand if not a couple million. Shit's intense. Been hearing very good things about this movie though, so I'm excited.

Cuaron is responsible for brilliant films such as Children of Men and the only Harry Potter movie I managed to enjoy, Prisoner of Askaban.
charlie2094 - 5/8/2013, 10:38 AM
Can't wait to see the teaser trailer for this! Very interested in this film, the poster looks great too. The opening shot is said to remain unbroken for 17 minutes, and the whole film is said to be filled with long shots. Intrigued by whole that looks, and the whole concept sounds quite fascinating too! Consider me sold :P

Franshu - 5/8/2013, 10:42 AM
Great director, and Ive been hearing only good things about this flick; some are calling it a masterpiece. I'm all in. Shitty photoshop on the poster, though.

@Crossbones: Whatchoo talkin bout, willis?
Franshu - 5/8/2013, 10:43 AM
@sKeemAn: That might be cause it's not an action flick. :)
SpectacularJoShFest - 5/8/2013, 10:47 AM
Sandra Bullcok and George Clooney? What is this...the 90s?
EdgyOutsider - 5/8/2013, 10:47 AM
Cuaron gets praise for Children of Men, an shit movie. A movie that had a promising premise and poorly executed. The acting was terrible and there honestly isn't a single redeeming quality about it. Where was the emotion? Seriously, that movie sucked.

@maryboo: Prisoner of Azkaban is good but is by far the worst of the entire franchise.
jbak368 - 5/8/2013, 10:49 AM
Children of Men is a flippin masterpiece.
Reni - 5/8/2013, 10:49 AM
Shit director?
To anyone that have not seen a Cuaron film yet, just watch Children of Men. It's a masterpiece.
EdgyOutsider - 5/8/2013, 10:51 AM
Neveldine/Taylor would've done a better job with it and gave it more depth than what Cuaron did. That's sad considering that the only thing their movies are is just adrenaline filled action
BigDamnHero - 5/8/2013, 10:54 AM
I dig the concept of this poster more than the execution. But still, can't wait for this. Children of Men is such a brilliant movie! This is gonna be one of the best films of the year, I can feel it.
AsianVersionOfET - 5/8/2013, 10:57 AM
JEBUS, I can't EFFING WAIT. Between this, Tanscendence and Interstellar, it's a new age of sci-fi! [frick] yeah!
Bam - 5/8/2013, 11:02 AM
First of all anybody in this conversation who has either not heard of or thinks ill towards Alfonso Cuaron should shut up right now and go watch Children of Men.

Now that everyone's back, I've been hearing about this movie for two years now and every single director or movie mogul whose seen bits of it says it is beyond INCREDIBLE

I'm hyped for this, nobody does amazing tracking shots like Mr. Cuaron so bring it on.
CherryBomb - 5/8/2013, 11:03 AM

I love Sandra Bullock in everything she does.
She chooses crappy films, but I like her in them, so I'll probably watch this.

But it doesn't seem to be standing out to me.
Bam - 5/8/2013, 11:04 AM
Good lord I hope Crossbones is no more than 5 years old if he just compared Neveldine Taylor to Alfonso Cuaron.
EdgyOutsider - 5/8/2013, 11:09 AM
@Bam: I'm 17. I just brought Neveldine/Taylor into it so I can compare and show how bad Cuaron is. His ONLY good movie is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Children of Men blew chunks. My god it was terrible. The acting was one note, there was no emotion, it was a completely bland movie.
Nomis1800 - 5/8/2013, 11:22 AM
Gorgeous poster is gorgeous.
charlie2094 - 5/8/2013, 11:22 AM

Well, that's just your opinion then. The general consensus is that Children of Men is an absolutely incredible film, and Cuaron is a brilliant film maker. Can't wait to see the 17 Minute long shot.
PapaEmeritus - 5/8/2013, 11:40 AM
@crossbones, please just shut your mouth, son! You're even worse than Godzillafart in your movie opinions. Ugh!
EdgyOutsider - 5/8/2013, 12:03 PM
Now, a director truly worth watching Is, Derek Cianfrance. Blue Valentine is great and The Place Beyond The Pines is a million times better. The Place Beyond The Pines truly is a powerful, emotional film. It's lengthy but, it's definitely worth it. Derek Cianfrance > Alfonso Cuaron
TheBeard - 5/8/2013, 12:22 PM
Sandra Bullock is one sexy cougar
EdgyOutsider - 5/8/2013, 12:43 PM
FIRG: I'm not a hipster in any way, shape or form.
EdgyOutsider - 5/8/2013, 2:08 PM
imadick: no need for insults. Everyone has an opinion and obviously, I find Alfonso Cuaron and Children of Men to be [frick]ing terrible. Derek Cianfrance is proof brilliant cinema still exists. He's our savior while Cuaron is the sinner. Cuaron has brought down the greatness of cinema with his garbage.
stevebrt - 5/8/2013, 2:20 PM
Space shuttle ? what [frick]ing space shuttles they're all in museums now ,why not just destroy the ISS instead
englandlover77 - 5/8/2013, 3:17 PM
AWESOME poster, AWESOME director!

At least this wasn't a stupid generic poster that we so much of; the ones with the same color schemes or close ups of their faces, or cheap photoshop.

CaptainA - 5/8/2013, 3:23 PM
Crossbones clearly has no taste in movies. Children of Men is one of the best movies ever made.
Bam - 5/9/2013, 6:38 AM
Getting pretty hot and heavy in this ring, Where's Gusto with the whistle?
EdgyOutsider - 5/9/2013, 7:15 AM
@FIRG: I try not to take things personally on this site.

bropous: Cuaron doesn't deserve an Oscar cause he's not impressive. Yes, the single shots are impressive but Cuaron as an overall director is not. The Place Beyond The Pines and Blue Valentine are examples of great film making and two of the best movies I have ever seen. Derek Cianfrance is light years better than Cuaron and already has more good movies than him. Shit, David Slade is better than Cuaron which is sad cause Slade directed a Twilight movie. If Cuaron does a comicbook movie, it should be one that the general public have no interest in. Aquaman. As long as it's DC and preferably Aquaman, I wouldn't mind Cuaron directing a comicbook movie. This is just my opinion although, you shouldn't take this shit personally. Especially since you think of me as a moronic douche and AlextheKaiser told me to jump off a cliff. The Place Beyond The Pines does everything spectacularly. Children of Men, not so much.
exe - 5/9/2013, 8:35 AM
Cuaron is a talented director. Anyone that says otherwise is a dumb [frick].
