Tonight's Children In Need in the UK brought the title and teaser trailer of the 2011 Doctor Who Christmas Special titled "The Doctor, the Widow and The Wardrobe"

The title of the Christmas Special has been revealed on Children in Need and it's The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe!

The official statement from the BBC regarding the Christmas special, which will be airing on Christmas Day in the UK, is below.

"The Christmas Special stars Matt Smith as the Doctor... Evacuated to a house in Dorset from war-torn London, Madge Arwell and her two children, Lily and Cyril, are greeted by a madcap caretaker whose mysterious Christmas gift leads them into a magical wintry world..."

The BBC also posted a teaser trailer for the upcoming episode!

The episodes seems to draw STRONGLY from the The Chronicles of Narnia novels by CS Lewis, Twitter has going mad with countless tweets about the title to which seems to be based on "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe."

he left amy and rory in season 6,said he wanted them to have solid lives..."to grow roots"...so im guessing they ll just be in and out special episodes like the finale
