...But Uhura, Scotty, and Chekov all wear red shirts too, lol
thatdylhooper - 2/7/2013, 7:14 AM

thatdylhooper - 2/7/2013, 7:14 AM
There seems to be allot of strange wardrobe in this one
PsyGuy - 2/7/2013, 7:15 AM
Really liking the costumes!
Especially Uhura's!

It's a Star Trek rule, any non-main character who wears a red shirt will probably die. It happened in the last movie too, during the sky-jump scene. It's painfully obvious watching it that he's going to die (unknown character who has never been mentioned before sent along with two established main characters, and he's the only one wearing red, so he's bound to be killed off).

If Kirk was smarter, he'd stop allowing his crew to wear red, which could reduce casualties. Or maybe he allows them to wear red because it guarantees his own safety as a yellow shirt.

This looks so good, possibly my most anticipated summer movie, along with Man Of Steel.

Cumberbatch looks intense.
I'm enjoying this last moments before the movie comes out because it may be another 10 years before the third is delivered...sigh...

Spidey91 - 2/7/2013, 7:23 AM
he even has the Sherlock scarf :P
MisterNiceGuy - 2/7/2013, 7:24 AM
I liked the first one but the hype for this franchise was not strong enough to outlast the gap between the first and second movies. The first one has already been forgotten in my eyes. Maybe i will change my mind when i see it because i dont even think the trailers do it justice.
GoodbyeApollo - 2/7/2013, 7:25 AM
It's a starfleet wetsuit, I kid you not.
SimyJo - 2/7/2013, 7:42 AM

...the attractive black woman.
weaponX2 - 2/7/2013, 7:51 AM
@canon10...Uhura and Scotty wear red shirts, but Chekov wears a gold shirt...just thought I'd clarify that, and ACira is correct, anyone in a red shirt is most likely going to die, unless they are a member of the main crew..The colors were: gold - command (including navigation and weaponry); red - operations (including engineering, security, and ship's services); and blue - sciences (including medicine).
FrankieDedo - 2/7/2013, 7:51 AM
the third photo...looks like...

MiracleMe - 2/7/2013, 7:52 AM
Uhura's wearing a wetsuit in that picture. There's some underwater action in this new movie. I've seen some pics with several of the cast members wearing them.
MiracleMe - 2/7/2013, 7:54 AM
@FrankieDedo -
I thought EXACTLY the same thing.
storyteller - 2/7/2013, 7:54 AM
Then in next generations it's all the yellow shirts because security offers tend to put themselves in combat. A lot less red shirts died in next generation. Though they did get burned by exploding panels a lot.
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 2/7/2013, 7:58 AM
Look forward to Star trek into Darkness! More Trek please!
Logan5 - 2/7/2013, 8:09 AM
The first official teaser pic released for Anchorman 2 will have Ron Burgundy, cuffed & surrounded by police escort walking towards frame down some corridor. :-P

I can't wait to see Cumberpatch in this role!

Zoe is one beautiful lady!
Christuffer - 2/7/2013, 8:25 AM
WTF is wrong with Benedict's complexion in picture number three? Is he uber old? lol
l0rdleg0las - 2/7/2013, 8:47 AM
Uhura has a massive head
TheAbomination - 2/7/2013, 8:48 AM
@SuspenseSmith You're right. I guess it's custom now-a-days to have the villain captured and imprisoned at one point in the movie.
drfate - 2/7/2013, 8:49 AM
looks like Kirk is gonna do his hanging thing again! He must have some strong fingers.
ClarkFarley2012 - 2/7/2013, 9:03 AM
Doctor Spock =Namor!!
Canon108 - 2/7/2013, 9:13 AM
Chekov wears a red shirt in the preview...and anyone who watched Lost would've known the red shirt rule.

Locke: Sounds like a piss poor captain...
datNAMEtho - 2/7/2013, 9:13 AM
Doing a Hannibal Lecter!
MiracleMe - 2/7/2013, 10:10 AM
@SuspenseSmith -
Yeah, saw that preview. Liked it more movie (The Hobbit). Really looking forward to this new Trek!
CharacterAssassin - 2/7/2013, 10:28 AM
I wonder... why? would directors shoot them photos, particularly the ones where the guards (with guns) are escorting the prisoners, with their backs turned to them. You never escort a prisoner with your back to them. The only one that got it right was the photo in the Man of Steel.
datNAMEtho - 2/7/2013, 10:36 AM
Those wetsuits are amazing, Zoe's curves and Pine's bulge have to escape!
Maia87 - 2/7/2013, 11:01 AM
Spock looks fat.

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 2/7/2013, 12:23 PM
JJ Abrams so stole my idea of having a spaceship flip and have the passengers all hang on for their lives.
JR - 2/7/2013, 12:39 PM
@ Maia87, yep! He's is going to die in this movie for sure.....
Durf - 2/7/2013, 2:12 PM
Excited to see this movie. Also, a lot of redshirts are gonna die it looks like. It's probably also bad to mention that they all only have 2 days until retirement
VictorHugo - 2/7/2013, 6:21 PM
It´s always awesome when a big Star Trek ship falls into a planet, happened twice in the movies and in one Voyager episode.
pepe - 2/8/2013, 2:02 AM
