New Stills From STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS In Better Quality

As well as two new images from the highly anticipated sequel, hit the jump to check out some previously seen stills from J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness in better quality.

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve and Anton Yelchin. The film is set to hit theaters May 17th.

Given how smart Chekov is I do wonder why he's up on the bridge and not with Scottie.
jerryblake - 4/7/2013, 10:54 AM
still not sure about this movie. I really liked the first one, but this does looks kinda ... bland. Or maybe I'm just tired that almost every antagonist in the movies nowadays, is basically a terrorist.

Nothing new...

Very excited for this however.

I hope this is good. So far it's just neutral with me, it doesn't look bad or good.

Here's hoping Paramount actually get back to doing some real Star Trek, proper intellignet SciFi shows for TV with the utopian intent that Gene Rodenberry devised as its purpose and no more of these regressed, dumb ass action comedy film spectacles.

Guaran-damn-tee that Khan uses that hole to grab someone and escape somehow.
IronLantern79 - 4/7/2013, 12:02 PM
Can this movie hurry up and get here already!!
Aeyan - 4/7/2013, 12:04 PM
I have a feeling this is just the beginning. Just like "Space Seed", this will be the precursor to a new "Wrath of Khan". I'd bet the hot blonde turns out to be the 'Khan sympathizer' that leaves with him to Seti Alpha-5. It's just a hunch.

Hey, Chekov, that shirt is kinda dirty...maybe you should change it ;D
LP4 - 4/7/2013, 4:16 PM
@Aeyan- Are you talking about the character- Marla McGivers? I think that was her name. Anyway, she wasn't blond and Alice Eve is playing Carol Marcus.

GRANTED you may be on to something because in one of the scenes in the international trailer it seemed like Alice Eve's character knew who this "John Harrison" guy is, like personally or something...just going by the look that was on her face in that specific scene.

And who knows, maybe her character really is Marla McGivers but just in disguise as "Carol Marcus" lol but i HIGHLY doubt that. And i do hope Khan isn't in this movie.
