Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the Original Star Wars Trilogy, is good friends (and even former roommate) with Robert Englund, best known for playing Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street series. At the Nashville Comic Expo, Englund let out in regards to exactly what Hamill is up to currently...
Mark now—they’ve got Mark in the gym, because Mark’s coming back as Luke Skywalker. They’ve got him doing his sit ups, said Englund.
A few months ago, a rumor was revealed that personal trainers were being hired for the "Big Three" so this story does make some sense.

Star Wars Episode VII (rumored subtitle to be "A New Dawn") is scheduled to be release 2015.

Use the Kettle Bells, Luke.

If there is one character they HAVE to bring back, it's Luke.

I can't wait for 2015.
jerryblake - 9/15/2013, 1:50 PM
if he wanna get back as Luke he's gotta hit the gym.
Russel Crowe said that during filming MOS he was not allowed to eat anything that wasn't provided by the studio. That was a part of his contract. They probably gave him personal trainer already.

The Skywalkers are back bitches!!!
DelTorite - 9/15/2013, 1:53 PM
No hating, the guy is a [frick]ing legend and nerd icon, but hopefully they will also fix his face with makeup/cgi and a beard.
Greengo - 9/15/2013, 1:54 PM
Wow. Must be nice to have a trainer and diet regime all provided by the studio.

Mark has a long way to go...
alibaba3317 - 9/15/2013, 1:56 PM
"luke... fat you are, diet you must" - yoda
DelTorite - 9/15/2013, 1:56 PM
And Mark Hamill for the Batman reboot.
DioFoRio - 9/15/2013, 1:57 PM
gonna be weird seeing Luke as a better actor now. Dudes had years to hone his craft.
LEVITIKUZ - 9/15/2013, 1:59 PM
Wait a goddamn second here.

Your telling me Luke Skywalker is good friends with Freddy?
TheManFromMars - 9/15/2013, 2:02 PM
Love Robert.

Wish he could play the Vulture like in the Spectacular Spider-man cartoon.
IronAsgaardian95 - 9/15/2013, 2:03 PM
Harrison Ford is already jacked for Expendables 3. I imagine Mark Hamill will go from looking like a tub of lard to a Chris Pratt esque physique.
jerryblake - 9/15/2013, 2:08 PM

i think Robert is very underrated drama actor. He was really good in Red with Brian Cox. He just got stuck in horror movies.
jerryblake - 9/15/2013, 2:10 PM
i can see him taking Vulture role. Although i would probably cast him as Gregory Bestman.
sameoldthing - 9/15/2013, 2:18 PM
Imagine Freddy as a Sith Lord..each claw finger replaced with a red mini-lightsaber.
Silly,I know but kinda cool.
MrCBM56 - 9/15/2013, 2:22 PM
Good. He needs it.
Greengo - 9/15/2013, 2:29 PM
Lol @sameol : )
StrangerX - 9/15/2013, 2:40 PM

MexicanSexyman - 9/15/2013, 3:33 PM
Quick someone post that picture of Mark Hamil holding a Carls Jr. bag.
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 9/15/2013, 3:34 PM
Mark Hamill FTW
xfan320 - 9/15/2013, 3:55 PM
I REALLY think Mark Hamill will impress a lot of people with his transformation!

He is...

Or was that his dad??
ndwwrestler2 - 9/15/2013, 4:54 PM
@xfan320 I believe it was his dad because he was the one who through the Emperor (A.K.A Star Wars version of the Devil) down a bottomless pit of destruction.
TheRationalNerd - 9/15/2013, 6:55 PM
Rooting hard for you Hamill!!! :D
Hellboy6666 - 9/15/2013, 6:57 PM
As a personal trainer and a nerd this would be my dream job...of course I wouldn't be able to stop talking about star wars and the Joker. "All right Mark, 5 jump squats, oh hey, do you think that if you hadn't gone into that tree on dagobah that maybe you would have eventually fallen to the darkside??"
SuperDude001 - 9/15/2013, 7:22 PM
I think he definitely needs to be fitter for the films, but doesn't need to lose much weight. I mean I kinda get it, but at his age his weight is reasonable and tbh I think it'd give give a new-humanoid-Yoda look for Luke.

GoddamnBatman - 9/17/2013, 7:45 PM
