STAR WARS: Is This Daisy Ridley Practicing A Stunt? Plus Possible Alien Pic

A member of the Star Wars: Episode VII production staff has posted a video which -- at least according to him -- features newcomer Daisy Ridley practicing a pretty dangerous looking stunt for the movie. He also provided a snap of what looks to be a new alien character, with the hashtag "Darkside".

The guy who posted the pic and vid is named Rey-Phillip Santos, and he is indeed listed as being a part of the Star Wars: Episode VII production staff. Of course that doesn't mean that what you see above is legit, as it's impossible to tell if it is actually Ridley flying through the air. By the same token, the pic could well be of one of the new aliens that'll be featured in the movie, or it could be..well, anything really! What do you guys think?

charlie2094 - 5/29/2014, 7:55 AM
Does look a little like a Yuuzhan Vong. Doubt it is, but cool design regardless!

Yeah I'm Hyped. I also love the scream. If that's her then I'm already very confident in her abilities to pull off this character. ;)

LOL agreed.
Danbojohnj - 5/29/2014, 8:41 AM
Also encouraging to see they are not going for the cg stuntman route,at least not to Matrix 2 levels.

Rey-Phillip Santos

Remember that name... It will not be a pretty sight when JJ gets a hold of his Ass. (no pun intended).
MrFridayNights - 5/29/2014, 9:01 AM
JJ Abrams will revive Star Wars just like he revived and made Star Trek awesome.
MrFridayNights - 5/29/2014, 9:02 AM
JJ Abrams Star Wars Sequel Trilogy will be better than the Original Trilogy mark my words.

If that is a Yuuzhan Vong, then I'm going to be upset. They just look like Space Orcs crossed with something from Battlefield: Earth. NO THANKS! Give me Mandalorians and Sith or give me DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RetroFit - 5/29/2014, 9:31 AM
P.S. Hope Rey Santos enjoyed his time on set because he's about to get fired and sued into oblivion.
JediPhilosopher - 5/29/2014, 9:40 AM
Wow, Mother Talzin would be cool. She does seem to have a way of coming back from the dead repeatedly. She's infinitely mysterious.
TheBeard - 5/29/2014, 9:45 AM
it does look like talzin
pintoman - 5/29/2014, 9:53 AM
lame...seems to defy the physics of the blow
pintoman - 5/29/2014, 9:54 AM
That swing would not send that person upward into the air

I just got a reply back from actress Julia Voth on her facebook who is friends with Rey-Phillip Santos. The photo is legit but the video has nothing to do with Star Wars. Either way, I think he's about to get fired or demoted to an intern for letting his teen daughter run his pages.
RetroFit - 5/29/2014, 10:10 AM
Really? You're arguing about the physics of practice stunts? Really? Good Lord. How people like you can enjoy anything is beyond me.
Darth258 - 5/29/2014, 10:59 AM
One of the Nightsisters maybe?
thedangle1 - 5/29/2014, 11:31 AM
I just found unedited, no special-edition-new-added-secnes bullshit, of the first original 3 theatrical releases of Star Wars IV, V, and VI. They must've been made from laser disc cause the quality was DVD quality. I just finished watching Jedi last night, and as I was finishing it, I was so excited for VII next year. Cannot wait to see Lucas's original story of how Skywalker will be a Jedi master, and Han and Leia's kids and where it goes from there. Seeing Ford, Fisher and Hamill gave me goosebumps, knowing they're all back for VII. Can't wait for VIII and IX either.
SimyJo - 5/29/2014, 11:48 AM
Rey-Phillip Santos = so fired.

I've walked around the outside of the stages when I was last on-site at Pinewood, and there are security guards at every entrance, with big standing screens so no-one walking past can catch a glimpse.
Even the plasterers and woodworking set-production buildings have screens round the front of their entrances so casual passer's-by do not get a glimpse.

The whole production-security on-site for Star Wars VII is tighter than a gnat's chuff - so this guy - who presumably is a trusted member of the production staff is a lunatic for even attempting to leak stuff.
Are shitty blurred photos like that really worth your job and reputation?.
