Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller have teamed-up once again for the long awaited sequel to 2005's Sin City. The film is finally in production and we now have the teaser poster to prove it.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was developed by Frank Miller based upon his graphic novel, with a screenplay by Frank Miller and Academy Award winner William Monahan (The Departed). The film is expected to begin production this summer at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.

yep it's a poster. that could be a book cover!!! haha.....I'm very much looking forward to this, but the casting will so make or break my excitement.

I'm psyched! The first movie it's still one of my favorite cinema experiences.

I'm pretty excited for this! Not a bad poster, pretty simple, but so was the original poster. This has been a long time coming and I'm pretty pumped.

sweeeeet lips & spider webs?
Bandrews1 - 5/12/2012, 12:27 AM
Well its good to know that this movie is finally underway.
Amazo - 5/12/2012, 12:45 AM
The lips are lifted from one of the editions book covers. The rest looks fan made and cheap.
FoxForce5 - 5/12/2012, 12:52 AM
@Amazo: I was thinking the same. Pretty sure I remembered seeing that image on one of the graphic novel edition prints.
siggisuperman - 5/12/2012, 3:20 AM
I think it's fairly obvious that the poster is going to resemble the graphic novel it's based on, doesn't make it fake.

lets hope more Rodriguez and less Miller when it comes to directing.

Let us not forget about this tragedy

TheSpirit154 - 5/12/2012, 7:31 AM
I know I am the only one who actually liked the spirit i still find myself loving the movie and i love sin city so this poster fake or real just gave me a heart attack ;)
JackJNapier - 5/12/2012, 10:43 AM
I love the Spirit, people who don't know the character don't get the movie.
batman001 - 5/12/2012, 10:44 AM
I like it nice and simple

JackJNapier. You dont have to know a charcetr to "get" the film. I knew shit all about Harry potter, Sin city, LOTR and pretty much most films not related to superheroes but i like alot of movies. I havent personally havent seen the spirit but the universal hate must be noted.
mgeoff88 - 5/12/2012, 4:11 PM
To bo honest, I thought this film would keep lagging for years and years.

I'm glad they're officially moving forward with it.

Yah, I didn't care for The Spirit. I loved the cast, but everything else was bad. Visually, it was to similar to Sin City. There's more colors to use than just red and black.

Also, if you have Paz Vega on a poster, and she doesn't get any billing. Then that's no bueno.

Is it always raining in sin city...what a bummer.
