This isn't really a contest, right?
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/26/2014, 1:38 PM
I'm saying why is this a question or poll? Marvel slapped that ass like they always do. Haters can hate but success in comics, cartoons (yes haters marvel cartoons are popular with multiple seasons), movies, merchandise, headlines, and Spiderman possibly coming home shiiiiiiiitttttt Flawless victory. ;)
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/26/2014, 1:44 PM
Infinity War Part 1&2,Black Panther, and Spiderman coming home.....need I say more?
JvIce - 12/26/2014, 1:44 PM
Well, Marvel won this year and will win 2015. The real game starts in 2016.
ZeoTV - 12/26/2014, 1:46 PM
I hate these questions so much but im voting marvel only because I grew up reading marvel comics and thats where it comes down to for me the comics
SAMURAI36 - 12/26/2014, 1:47 PM
In terms of actual multimedia product, DC won hands down. More animation, more live TV, more video games. The only thing that Marvel won in, is the same thing they continue to win in, was movies.

BlackBolt72 - 12/26/2014, 1:51 PM
Not even a contest.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/26/2014, 2:00 PM

@patrat18 you must hate the truth. Hate on partner, hate on ;)
Jazzy4 - 12/26/2014, 2:02 PM
This is isn't a fair contest and shouldn't have been made but oh well,.

Of course Marvel wins in most accounts objectively speaking.

4 Marvel properties reaching each $700M, two of which, the lesser expenssive ones beng from the MCU and currently sitting in the top 3 BO in their own backyard (domestically) in front of Marvel flagships Xmen nd Spider Man.

That's a psychological step, like the torch passing in the land where they were chreated first.

Add, AOS stepping its gameand sitting at the top 2 most watched CBM TV show, merchandising earns around 1.6+ billion (Spidey + TA propertY, phase 3 and other TV shows soon and yes, Marvel Studios is thriving business wise.

Business is doing great at Disney/Marvel, financially, backed by Disney distribution machine, creativily (new franchises launched with much success : GOTG) and popularily wise with a brand that is becoming more and more recognized throughout the world.
Argetlam22 - 12/26/2014, 2:04 PM
There is no denying that the flash and arrow have done very well this season, but long story short, DC is trying to improve on what Marvel did before Marvel is finished doing it, so good luck beating Feige and co. at their own game. Better luck next year DC. Better yet, maybe wait until after phase 3 is concluded and the dust has settled. unless you dont mind coming in at a constant second or third place. marvel got you beat til 2020 at least.

^ Add some extra lube to Marvel's dick Remy.

Oh and also don't need to as Marvel been sticking DC's punanny for years. Cheerios ;)
mcminnjb1990 - 12/26/2014, 2:09 PM
DC owned it on tv and in the animated world and 100% won the announcement game so that gives them the win
TheGoddamnPeel - 12/26/2014, 2:09 PM
Live Action Movies - Marvel
Animated Action Movies - DC
Cartoons - Draw
Live Action Shows - DC
Comics - Draw imo as the new 52 is still picking up speed from it's poor start, but the new Marvel Universe is hard to keep up with + influence of the movies on the comics
Video Games - Draw too as imo, no big comicbook games have comeout this year

So personally with that count...DC wins just. People constantly say that Marvel 'always wins' just because of the Marvel Movies/no DC movies as of yet and because they're not willing to give the new 52 a chance, but that's just because they're simple minded.
DurtyTalynt - 12/26/2014, 2:12 PM
Marvel hands down. DC may have announced some shit but Marvel is ahead by ten films. We will see what DC can do by the end of 2016. Until then. All they have is Arrow and Flash. Not gonna count Gotham since that show is useless. Supergirl will no doubt be cancelled and not interested in teen titans on the small screen. Kryton can kiss this ass and go frick fire.
CaptShipwreck - 12/26/2014, 2:18 PM
Slow news day and with psn getting bitch slapped ,[frick] it

FLAME WAR...............😜
Mrsinister - 12/26/2014, 2:25 PM
Agents of Shield is the best show on network TV, for me. Also captain America was the best CBM of the year, again, for me. Marvel wins but Dc is super close
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/26/2014, 2:31 PM
DC isn't super close. They are a decade behind and still smelling Marvel vapors. ;)
Smo13 - 12/26/2014, 2:38 PM
Until DC puts something on the big screen worth talking about then this might even be a vote worth casting but as of now DC is so far behind Marvel it's hard to even compare the two.DC does have some exciting movies coming up but they've shown in the past that just because the title is exciting doesn't mean that the movie will be.
JonF - 12/26/2014, 2:41 PM
Okay, I don't see how Marvel could possibly have won overall when DC has:

The Flash
Suicide Squad casting announcement
BvS in the works
OVAs coming out of their ass
The New 52 firing on all cylinders
Forever Evil
Supergirl show in development
Titans show in development
Justice League movie coming up
TV JLA slowly being assembled
The Lego movie
Convergence event on the horizon
David Finch on WW
Geoff Johns
Jim Lee
Paul Levitz and more
PeterStarker - 12/26/2014, 2:43 PM
Let's all just hope for some actual CBM news come January 1st....
BigFoster - 12/26/2014, 2:46 PM
Marvel has movies, DC has EVERYTHING else, games comics and tv
BigFoster - 12/26/2014, 2:46 PM
Plus movies on the horizon that will rival if not surpass everything marvel has done
Amazing512 - 12/26/2014, 2:51 PM
Doesn't Marvel win pretty much every year? I seriously can't think of the last time DC really beat Marvel in any category for a year, except in animated films
TheOverlord - 12/26/2014, 2:54 PM
Again, the fans are the big winners, and the only REAL losers are Sony...
TheStranger - 12/26/2014, 2:56 PM
No contest, Marvel has won every year since the beginning. Marvel is the reason we even have these movies. I love DC too, but let's not kid ourselves.
JonF - 12/26/2014, 2:57 PM
Considering that most people on this site were dissatisfied with TASpM2, and are skeptical about the upcoming FF movie, that leaves Marvel with:

An AOS TV show that has to wait for the MCU to unveil anything significant
An announcement of a movie slate that is literally YEARS away from even filming
A countdown to...yet ANOTHER Secret Wars series and reboot
And a SERIOUSLY screwed up line of comic books...that are adjusting to fit the MCU AND are ALSO overpriced!!!

Looks to me like DC kicked ass!
TheAmericanPatriot - 12/26/2014, 2:57 PM
Lol! Its not even close! How sad.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 12/26/2014, 3:01 PM
@JonF stop lying to yourself.
JonF - 12/26/2014, 3:03 PM
@Sortis:If Marvel is the reason we have these movies what do you call Superman the Movie from 1978? Not to mention Superman II, the 1989 Batman film, Nolan ' s DK trilogy, MOS and the Watchmen?
diabolik - 12/26/2014, 3:06 PM
yes its not a contest really…sorry but DC is still a long way behind and a lot to learn from Marvel
batmanrises - 12/26/2014, 3:08 PM
Pro-Marvel site, pro-Marvel results.
Liverpool4life - 12/26/2014, 3:09 PM
Sony lost. Nuff said!
BullyFU - 12/26/2014, 3:13 PM
From only a comic standpoint I'd give the edge to DC but when it comes to everything they put out Marvel is much farther ahead when it comes to what was put out this year. I've enjoyed both from a comic standpoint and as much as the New 52 gets bashed at least they've kept with it unlike Marvel who seems to relaunch each series every 2 years, if even that long. They've also been changing the 616 to more resemble their film universe which is annoying as a fan of the comics and the characters there, especially characters they don't own the film rights to. DC has had better TV shows but Agents of SHIELD is getting better and the Netflix series will start in 2015 so they may not keep that edge. Marvel easily wins when it comes to movies since DC didn't put anything out this year at all and outside of Spider-Man 2 all of the Marvel character movies were good to great. When it comes to other merchandise DC just seems to push out the same old stuff every year and outside of their Trinity they don't have much else to offer.
StrangeBatch - 12/26/2014, 3:20 PM
Moon Knight run is the best comic series since Stan Lee's spodermon run
JonF - 12/26/2014, 3:21 PM
@TheRealRemyLebeau - Have you watched The Flash or Arrow shows? Better yet, when was the last time you tried to follow Marvel's line of comics and we're able to make sense out of any of it?

BTW, I didn't realize that the X-Men essentially consisted of Mystique, Wolverine, Magneto and Professor X! Because EVERY time I go to the theater to see an X-Men movie, that's basically what I get!!

...and sorry but Agents Of Shield just drags, especially compared to Arrow and The Flash! Exactly how can I be expected to care about the fates of characters who don't even exist in the comics?!?

I also love the fact that those who dislike TASPM2 seem to forget the atrocity that was SpM3!!! TASPM2 biggest faults were story editing and derivative themes. Other than that, it was pretty enjoyable! Although with JoshW as an editor on this site, it will never get an objective review!!

Honest enough for you?
BlackestKnight - 12/26/2014, 3:23 PM
My vote still goes to Marvel, but...
Jeez people, movies aren't everything.
BlackestKnight - 12/26/2014, 3:26 PM
"when it comes to everything they put out Marvel is much farther ahead"

you mean a Tv show with under average ratings and two movies?\

the films are great, yes.\
and it dos give them the edge for now, all the entertainment out for them is more than DC"s
but that entertainment isnall we should be measuring by.
GentlemanlyBatman - 12/26/2014, 3:27 PM
At least 1/4 of the population aren't brainwashed into sucking the marvel's lil' leg snake
BlackestKnight - 12/26/2014, 3:28 PM
"Marvel has movies, DC has EVERYTHING else, games comics and tv "

Marvel has all of that, too.
It may not be the best quality but something like MCU and a few good comic series make up for it.
