@Quicker - Have you read The Pulse and those Frontline comics they did for Civil War and World War Hulk? Throw in some elements from shows like The Newsroom and that surprisingly fun looking Powerless series, and I reckon there's potential with the Bugle for...something.

The only character that's worth a spinoff in Spider-Man's world is Flash Thompson's Agent Venom and maybe Prowler.

No other character in Spider-Man's world is interesting enough to have a film dedicated to them without Spider-Man.
