Emma Stone Praises THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2'S Script

Emma Stone Praises THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2'S Script

While promoting her animated film, The Croods, Emma Stone praises the script for The Amazing Spider-Man sequel from the writing team of Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Jeff Pinkner.

In the latest issue of Cineplex Magazine, Emma Stone is interviewed about her animated feature film, The Croods. In that interview the talented actress also touches on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which is currently filming in New York.

"I'm in it, Andrew is in it. They just cast Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, who is such a great actor, I think that will be wonderful. And Shaeline Woodley as Mary Jane, who's also wonderful. So there's all that, and the script is very, very good. I'm very much looking forward to it.

I'm very happy the way our first one was received so well. It'll be cool on the next one to see how Gwen and Peter bridge that distance that was between us at the end of it. I think it all unfolds pretty neat. And I hope they continue letting Gwen be heroic. I think they might!"

A new team of writers (see below) were brought in for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 so fans can look forward to a fresh take in the sequel. The film is currently shooting in NYC and you can expect to be inundated with set photos over the next few weeks.

Emma is great, but I've got a bad feeling about this movie. They have Channing tatum cast as Mary Jane....thats bound to cause some issues.

But not until the third or the fourth, btw does anyone know hoy many movies she made the contract for? That would give us a hint of when will she die.
reverendjonnynemo - 3/1/2013, 8:56 AM
LMAO.... Orci is writing this?

I knew I smelled poop...
SpideyQuad - 3/1/2013, 8:57 AM
I love Emma (even though I'm 52) only problem is I can't decide if I like her best as a redhead or a blonde
GodzillaKart - 3/1/2013, 8:57 AM

gwen provoked people to clear out of oscorp. probably saved some lives doing that. making the antidote sure was helpful
shamo - 3/1/2013, 9:04 AM
can't wait. TASM was the 4th best superhero movie to date.
JoeMomma29 - 3/1/2013, 9:04 AM
If you ask me Emma should have been Mary and not Gwen but of course that is my opinion!
sansClaymore - 3/1/2013, 9:04 AM
yeah too bad shes gonna break her neck in the movie. i mean, why even introduce the green goblin (osborne) or MJ if gwen is his girl? yeah shes gonna crack a vertibrae or two. i know what your all thinking electro rhino... this move is already too big for another villain such as gobby. well if so then why the hell is dane dehaan been cast as harry and whats his chin for his pops? just to set up part 3? i dont think so

TheDARKestKNIGHT - 3/1/2013, 9:16 AM

"the way our first one was received so well"

She knows nothing about her own movie.
JatevinM - 3/1/2013, 9:29 AM
I don't think she is going to die. I think something will cause her to leave.
MisterNiceGuy - 3/1/2013, 9:31 AM
Some of you need to find a woman. Or at least an artificial one of some sort.
NeoBaggins - 3/1/2013, 9:31 AM
I hate when comedians laugh at their own jokes. I can't tell if it's just narcissism or an attempt at a Jedi mind-trick effect on the audience. Either way, it's really, really tacky.
ATrueHero1987 - 3/1/2013, 9:35 AM
We will see Emma...
Jollem - 3/1/2013, 9:36 AM
Ryagan - 3/1/2013, 9:42 AM
In just about every interview with the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man, one of the first things they say is, "The script is great." My guess is saying that is part of the contract. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I won't get my hopes up too high.
jerryblake - 3/1/2013, 9:49 AM

For me it was way better than all those Raimi movies.

Sure, Lizard was so cliche villain that at some point i just wanted to smack Vanderbilt in a face. And that scene in a sewer, showing the master evil genius plan on the screens of monitors ...
That's just lame writing. But the humor was there, some really good character development too ...

My friend said to me once "holy shit ... that was a real spiderman. Not some retarded guy like in those other movies"
NeoBaggins - 3/1/2013, 9:54 AM
TASM is a small "Spider-man" series that doesn't come close to the frenzy that was the Raimi trilogy. We can drop cliche quips all day about Spider-man3, but all three films surpasses TASM on all levels of film making.

Nemeres - 3/1/2013, 9:54 AM
I'm betting she's gonna die. The first film landed with such a thud that to do just another run-of-the-mill sequel with some relationship stuff and some action just won't cut it. They need to have some goddamn IMPACT! And how to do that? Kill the hero's teenage girlfriend. Kill her really tragically and before she gets to graduate, so that they can milk the "Oh, she died so young" tragedy factor to its fullest.
Jollem - 3/1/2013, 9:56 AM
i like both versions of spider-man...
TheWhiteSquirrel - 3/1/2013, 9:59 AM
It's a shame that Raimi ruined venom. He had arguably the best spiderman villain under his creative control and tarnished the characters movie repution for ever. It would be weird to redo venom now but i suppose the reboot was a bit weird/unneccassary in itself. Does anyone think Rhino (if he is in fact in this movie) is a good villain. Allways thought he was a bit cheesy.

Make venom cool again!
finalattack - 3/1/2013, 10:02 AM
TASM sucked only good thing was emma stone, who i wish they would just color her hair red and be mj....that other chick is not that pretty with her thick ass neck.
