First Clip From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Released

"The Mark of the Spider-Man" has released the first clip from the movie and it features a humorous scene between Peter Parker and that intimidating doorman he mentioned in the trailer.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

VIKEME - 2/18/2012, 2:14 AM
Kind of a random clip, but definitely looking good!

Love the way Peter responds to the doorman saying "Are you dropping off or picking up?"
JDUKE25 - 2/18/2012, 2:19 AM

Maia87 - 2/18/2012, 3:11 AM
And that's why he said "Your doorman is intimidating" in the trailer.
ShadesAtKnightII - 2/18/2012, 3:20 AM

Here Comes The Spider-Man!
batfan175 - 2/18/2012, 3:40 AM
fnny how you can make this sort of scene in every spiderman film and yet this one is the first one I go "meh". I preferred Bruce Campbell annoying peter Parker.
Mrcool210 - 2/18/2012, 3:48 AM
This is definitly a movie im seeing
EditNinja - 2/18/2012, 3:59 AM

@Tea... That gif had me rollin'... Pahah!!!
NeoBaggins - 2/18/2012, 4:43 AM
This is pretty meh. Cambell and Tobey already owned this bit in Spider-man 2.

Wake me when the Cops VS Spider-man clips comes out.
jimoakley666 - 2/18/2012, 4:49 AM
Looks good. I'm not at all up on New York accents, but that's fairly accurate, right?
Action - 2/18/2012, 5:24 AM
Nothing about that scene was funny. I think I'm seeing another marvel movie flop.
DoctorSnide - 2/18/2012, 5:29 AM
This film will be great. I hope they do Venom justice in this new series. They MUST do Venom and then they MUST do him justice.
BIGBMH - 2/18/2012, 5:39 AM
Sorta reminds me of this.

However, to me this ASM clip lacked some of that spark. Some of the other scenes have it (Uncle Ben and Peter at the school) but this one to me was just a little bit bland. I realize it's a different type of movie, but I think the scene would have been more entertaining if the doorman was more like a Bruce Campbell Spider-man character or Ricky Gervais's from Night at the Museum.

sounds like it's that time of the month for grif.
Mcandrews - 2/18/2012, 6:06 AM
@grif you can tell grif is interested in the movie cuz he watched this clip and commented a normal coment about it....... theeeeeeeeeeeeeen called it shit. he just tries too hard to troll.

RorMachine - 2/18/2012, 6:27 AM
Err, yeah..not bad. VERY reminiscent of the various incarnations of Bruce Campbell in Raimi's movies though no?:)
PeterParker1991 - 2/18/2012, 6:27 AM
Nice clip. Can't wait for this movie. I really can't wait. Can't stress how Garfield looks like he stepped out the pages of a comic book. Andrew Garfield IS Spiderman.
Mego - 2/18/2012, 6:30 AM
They have tried and failed 2 TIMES to replace NICHOLAS HAMMOND as SPIDER-MAN. Despite his age, AMERICA and THE ENTIRE WORLD will always look at Hammond as "THE SPIDER-MAN". Just as Chris Evans failed miserable to replace REB BROWN! Once they give in and pay Nicholas Hammond the 1 billion salary he demands then we can have the real Spider-Man!! And the 1 billion salary will be earned back in the 1st weekend as Nicholas Hammonds return will break 1 billion DOMESTIC in just 1 day!
NeoBaggins - 2/18/2012, 6:34 AM
Still not feeling it yet. Maybe if I get a Spider-man avatar I'll love it.
95 - 2/18/2012, 6:35 AM
Funny stuff. Wonder if this scene makes the final cut.
thewolfx - 2/18/2012, 6:37 AM
@neo

chuckg313 - 2/18/2012, 6:39 AM

Bodwulf - 2/18/2012, 6:39 AM
@bgg1175 LOL! Imagine the money this movie would have made with an all original cast.
