"Giant Lizard" Clip From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Now Online

Brand new clip has been released from the Marc Webb-directed film The Amazing Spider-Man. Featuring Peter Parker and Captain George Stacy, hit the jump to check it out...

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Sally Field and Martin Sheen, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to hit theatres on July 3rd, 2012.

Some nice dialogue, like the reference to Godzilla
RorMachine - 6/6/2012, 4:41 PM
ha, Leary was pretty funny there..still not sold on Garfield as Parker..yet.
NerdyGeek - 6/6/2012, 4:43 PM
Very nice, far better than the last two clips, Garfield and Leary seem to have fantastic chemistry together and the last line was great.

"Do I look like the Mayor of Tokyo to you?"

Darkhawk8 - 6/6/2012, 4:44 PM
lol looks pretty cool.
DraculaX - 6/6/2012, 4:50 PM
That reference reminds me of the 98 Godzilla film. Blah.
MrBlueSky - 6/6/2012, 4:55 PM

Funny. Well scripted. Good acting.

VFX is the problem I still have.

Because the practical stunts look... amazing.

@IM53

I'm on my iPhone. I clicked the link to Metacafe and watched it there.
Spidey91 - 6/6/2012, 5:00 PM
it wasn't just the line itself, the delivery was hillarious :P
QuiLL13 - 6/6/2012, 5:01 PM
tired of people saying they are still not sold on this. It will be an awesome movie. Garfield is a great actor and he will deliver. I am going to see it because I am a spider-man fan and there is no way this movie can suck. Maybe it wont be great, but it wont suck. Should be a fun movie to watch
R888 - 6/6/2012, 5:01 PM

@ IronAmerica13 Yeah that's because Tobey Maguire was so great! and because everything about this film looks like shit in comparison. *sarcasm* by the way.
Thanos005 - 6/6/2012, 5:03 PM
Gotta love Denis Leary

Always lookin' out for us mobile users. Thanks.

Garfiled IS a great actor, I've seen him in Red Riding, Never Let Me Go and The Social Network and he was brilliant in all of them. I just haven't seen anything from his take on Parker that has sold me on him being right for that particular role yet. I can't put my finger on it, just have to wait and see.
Christuffer - 6/6/2012, 5:05 PM
Too bad we don't have to watch the movie now since we've seen it through all these clips
JDUKE25 - 6/6/2012, 5:08 PM
LMAO Mayor of Tokyo. Great line
Spidey91 - 6/6/2012, 5:08 PM

lame. campy dialogue played for laughs. also, the set up is silly and too convenient. parker talks to cop, cop has daughter, daughter's mentor is the lizard, lizard fights spider-man, spider-man is parker. a giant, silly, lazy writer's circle.

come on sheeple. i literally might just skip this one and i go to every piece of crap super hero film.
soforizo - 6/6/2012, 5:38 PM
Last line was great.
ralfinader - 6/6/2012, 5:42 PM
I've seen enough, I'll be adding to this movie's opening weekend box office.
Bodwulf - 6/6/2012, 5:56 PM

Bodwulf - 6/6/2012, 5:58 PM

BEST.VIDEO.EVER!
Ranger14 - 6/6/2012, 6:19 PM
His accent really irritates me. It isn't overly consistent in the footage I have seen and I find it just doesn't resonate for me. Probably one of the reasons I haven't bought into him as Parker yet.
VIKEME - 6/6/2012, 6:39 PM
lol awesome clip. My favorite one yet.
Ranger14 - 6/6/2012, 7:29 PM
"@Ranger14 What are you talking about? In all of the speaking scenes I've seen him in, he doesn't have an accent at all."

Ummm...you can't hear his "Brooklyn" accent?
Nighmarewalking117 - 6/6/2012, 7:57 PM
@NinjaJesus, didn't you just say on the first-page, "That it was a shit-suit and should be rebooted" soemthing along that line, I believe.
Ranger14 - 6/6/2012, 8:40 PM
""@Ranger14 I've heard Brooklyn accents, and he doesn't sound like any I've heard."

That's kind of my point. He uses it...doesn't use it...but it's definitely there. Not sure if he is doing a Brooklyn, Bronx or generic New York accent, but it's there. I just assumed it was Brooklyn being that is where he is. Gwen Stacy's home, etc. His bio doesn't state an actual home other than he was born in Forest Hills.
Mego - 6/6/2012, 9:31 PM
That's the 1st actual scene Ive seen that looks good and works. The doorman and the bridge had too many problems.
rbfn04 - 6/6/2012, 10:55 PM
Meh. Still not sold.
MovieTheaterLad - 6/6/2012, 11:52 PM
Why do I hate this movie?

Because the chemistry between Garfield and Leary remind me way too much of my girlfriend's dad and I.

Nah, just kidding. I'm beyond stoked.
Boyle360 - 6/7/2012, 5:30 AM
@NinjaJesus
What? No accent at all? You do realise that's impossible, right? Every single person who speaks any language in any part of the world has an accent.
PeterParkersWeb - 6/7/2012, 6:06 AM
@TheAmazingHipsterMan

Noooo. I found it by mistake when I paused the video to change the quality to HD. I thought it was funny, that's it. I like Andrew a lot, don't get me wrong, but this face is priceless.

"Go on TUMBLR and see the MILLIONS fangirls wanting his seed in their mouth, millions." - WTF, MAN?! What's that?
He is famous that's why.
The only fan who "wants andrew's seed in his mouth" it's you, my friend. You really act this way.

Cheers, PeterParkersWeb.

You can go and cry now, and let me enjoy both Raimi's Spider-Man and TASM.
sharkman03191 - 6/7/2012, 7:59 AM
Loving the dialogue haha!
