Jamie Foxx's 'Max Dillon' And His Comb-Over Feature In New AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Wallpaper

The latest wallpaper for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is basically a screenshot from the recent extended preview, but it showcases Max Dillion's unnatural idolization of Spidey - "I want to be just like him!"

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.
It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release on May 2, 2014!

Hmmm reminds of um, what was it again! Um, it had something to do with Batman, first movie I don't know. Forever? Ah man it's hard to think, um what character....Batman? Nope not him. Yes name started with an R, or something. Was that guy with the question marks, man it's just too hard to remember.

Is it that studios end up ripping off other studios?

Coincidental that Iron Man 3 made Killion a jilted Stark fanboy and now Electro is a jilted Spiderman fanboy.

Before then we had Syndrome in the Incredibles and before then Nigma in Batman and Robin.

They could have gone with better casual clothing for Max Dillon, they went too overboard with the entire nerdy look.

He looks absolutely ridiculous. But I still can't wait for the movie looks fantastic.
Dandy - 2/3/2014, 3:31 PM

I'm pretty sure the Sinister Six film is going to be a Spider-Man "event" film. It will still have Spidey as the main character but the feature the Sinister Six coming after him. If they continue following the Spectacular Spider-Man show, it is likely that it will feature the Venom Symbiote which makes Spidey strong enough to fight all of them.
Dandy - 2/3/2014, 3:32 PM
Pretty much Sinister Six is going to be a reversed Avengers.

Avengers: Heroes join together to fight one big baddie.
Sinister Six: Villains come together to fight one lone hero.

Yeahhh based on the new trailer, the movie looks great...aside from each and every one of the villains. Max idolizing Spider-Man to such a creepy extent is just that: creepy. It makes it look like the sole reason he's fighting Spider-Man is because he forgot his name...? Obviously that's the little bit we get from the trailer, but it just seems like the filmmakers made no effort in giving him a good backstory. Same with the Harry Osborn and the Rhino. It's just lazy to have each and every single villain come from the same source of OsCorp.

Obviously I'm going to see this, and it looks miles better than the 1st one. But man, I just don't know.
GliderMan - 2/3/2014, 3:44 PM
Bullshit Electro.
fettastic - 2/3/2014, 3:53 PM

The difference between this character and the Riddler or Killion is that neither of those characters were sympathetic. I get the feeling from what ive read and seen that even as Electro Max Dillon is a sympathetic villain. Or you know you could take one line from a 3 minute trailer and act as though it explains the whole origin and movie......but that would be an idiotic thing to do.

Reminds me of Edward Nigma and Aldrich Killian.

Is this going to be the new craze? Nerdy people get super powers and then become villains?

Jamie is a very good actor, think he's gonna nail it as Electro! Luckily the VFX look good now :).
dethpillow - 2/4/2014, 12:23 AM
yeah, Jamie Foxx, always the master of subtlety.

remember Ray Charles?

"hey look, i'm Ray Charles!! i'm blind! i can't see!!! i'm gonna bump into that wall, oh noooo!!! damn wall!
I'm Ray Charles!!! hey look!!! i'm blind look at me!!!"

Jamie Foxx, man. the master of subtlety.
dethpillow - 2/4/2014, 12:24 AM
