Marc Webb Shares Another Behind-The-Scenes Still From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

Last night, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb shared with us a behind-the-scenes still of an airborne Spidey, and today he brings us another, this time featuring the wall-crawler speeding away from Jamie Foxx's Electro, who's electrical blasts look very life-like...

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The film is set to land in theaters May 2, 2014.

This Spidey video game looks great! ;)

Idk why but Webb's take on Spiderman seems more comic booky to me. With Gwen being established, Peters parents acknowledged, and Norman Osborn actually having an evil empire. Its all exciting.
anthonyEstark - 2/18/2014, 6:12 AM
@Maestro It's much more related to the Comics, which is great IMO
jaysin420 - 2/18/2014, 6:12 AM
Damn, and I thought a few of the fight scenes in MOS looked too much like a video game.

I do love the idea of the eventual super-villain team up though.

LOL!! @ batz

You're askin' for it!

"The shockingly realistic 3D technology helps Electro's powers jump right off the screen... literally!" - Anonymous critic who lost his eyebrows

"Superior sequel in every way, but I'm glad I didn't sit in the front row like that other critic!" - Critic from LA Times who still has his eyebrows

I love 3D, although to be honest I don't think of it as 3d per-say...but more of a nice layered effect to the picture. I have a Panasonic active 3d set and the picture is beautiful. The 3d in TASM is a really nice deep layered picture that gives a slightly more immersive feel to the film - in effect turning the tv into a frame, I'd say akin to looking out through an actual window VS a high-res picture of a window on the wall. I was the biggest sceptic of 3d for the entire history of 3d up to six months ago, but on getting a new TV and actually trying it (because all top-end TVs have it included it seems) - I actually found myself appreciating the subtle yet immersive layered feel it gives to the picture. I still watch a good 85% of my TV in 2D, but the 3D is a nice treat and option to have for a different viewing experience.

Didn't Marc already confirm that they'll be turning it around this time? TASM1 had more of a depth feeling 3D with very few 3D scenes that "come towards you". He said they'll continue to have the depth feeling but also have a lot more of the "coming right at you" effects. I assume this is one with the electric spikes.

@yossarian They're mixing sound, the CGI and effects would have been finished a while ago considering the render times. Sound is the very last thing to be mixed. :)
