Has anyone asked Marvel for a comment?

I bet they are just chillin. The more if this shit that comes out the more leverage they will have to share or get him back.

Tobey was awful. Andrew is close to an adult. gosling is too hot. Just let garfield reprise his role and make it not feel ripped off

Kraven's last hunt is too early to make. Nothing has been estaizhed yet. Just introduce KRAVEN properly.

The Sony apple tree is rotten to the core. Any new Spidey-universe films from them will be yet more dead-end franchises. Zero faith left in their abilities. Spidey needs to go home and into the MCU.

See now this sounds great. If Sony can get their act together and hire a good director, not interfere too much than Id be happy. Plus an older Spidey is a great idea. Ive gotten so bored with the teenage spidey angle

Brad Bird is a genius. He gave us the Fantasic Four on-screen a la The Incredibles.

They should had done this for Spider-man 4, TASM or TASM3. Instead we're getting a reboot of a reboot.

What happens if this reboot fails, are Sony gonna reboot it too?

Ok, so I may have been a bit hard on Sony yesterday but "Brad Bird" for a Spider-Man film would be absolutely fantastic. If they do end up rebooting Spider-Man's franchise again please do it with compassion and not just "wow factors" of amazement. lol I really would like to see Spidey back at the MCU but if they can get the right producers, directors and writers to put the spark back in the franchise it needs I'm willing to support b any means necessary.

This is your (assuming) 3rd chance to get things right Sony...

After that...

I really have a feeling Marvel and Sony are going to co-finance this reboot. Having him be an adult would be okay by me. I'd prefer early to mid 20s, but anything other than his origin again is fine by me.

I'm surprised Jon Favreau is not on the list. Maybe it's just me who see's what he did with Iron Man 1 working for Spiderman.

I agree that there's no point in rebooting Spider-man if there isn't going to be a connection to Marvel Studios. A connection to the Avengers/MCU would reinvigorate excitement for the character.

I prefer Marvel handle Spidey from hereon out though. Sony's had enough chances. You blew it, folks.

I do think Phil Lord and Chris Miller could be an awesome duo for Spider-man, their movies have a great balance of action and comedy.

So do you guys think that they're really going for the reboot now?

What about this Sinister Six film? Is it still happening?
