What a week it's been for Spider-Man news! Leaked Sony emails have revealed discussions about the character possibly being handed over to Marvel Studios for an appearance in Captain America: Civil War and then his own series of movies set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Others meanwhile have revealed that Spidey might next be seen in Sinister Six or perhaps a reboot which would ditch Andrew Garfield and (FINALLY) focus on an adult Spider-Man.

As of right now, we know as much as Sony when it comes to the future of Spider-Man (read: NOTHING). It appears as if his fate will be decided next month, and things could go in any number of directions. However, it will ultimately come down to Sony either forging ahead with their own plans and hoping for the best or turning to Marvel Studios for help in once again making Spider-Man a box office success. After The Amazing Spider-Man 2, something needs to be done...

They should give him a grey suit with sculpted muscles, that always solves everything.

Soft reboot. Bring back Garfield but just change the direction of it by bringing in new writers, directors, and letting Marvel run it.

How about a choice to just letting Spidey go back to Marvel. Sony, let Spidey go home.

Spiderman needs to go back to Marvel but we all know or at least some admit that is not going to happen anytime soon. So at this point Sony needs to get some real talent behind Spidey and make the future movies beyond great!

I don't see how there can be continuity if they decide to throw Garfield in the Civil War movie. Maybe if they explained it with some crazy dimension bending B.S. with the reality gem but I don't see that happening.

"Bender is mad for some reason."

Yes, Spidey's movie rights are own by studio that has no idea of what they are doing and Zack Snyder is directing movies based on DC characters, I have plenty of reason to be upset about about.

And I mean write him properly that has more fans favor him. Just listen to the constructive critisms, make a deal with marvel and hopefully you'll add TASM SERIES in the MCU aka the marvel love action universe as in the character belonging in a Netflix series.

Other than Sony selling, which I don't think will happen, the next best is to have marvel in charge of all the important aspects and co produce with Sony, perhaps letting them have all merchandise, home video sales, etc... Could still keep spidey off on his own like in the comics but now with the ability to help out on the crossover events...
