See Jamie Foxx Electro-fied In More Photos From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Set

We've seen the Django Unchained actor in makeup as the blue Max Dillon on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but check out more shots of Jamie Foxx's Electro glowing from a practical lighting effect!

In “The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014.

"Its electrifying!"
JDUKE25 - 4/16/2013, 7:16 AM
Eh...maybe he'll look better in action or a different form.
CharlesLord - 4/16/2013, 7:17 AM
lmfaooooo they put lights in the hoodie!?!?!?!?!?!
RextheKing - 4/16/2013, 7:20 AM
The lights in his hood are obviously for enhancing the electrifying look on his face. Thought I said that, before some dumbass makes a dumbass comment.
Oh, and by the way, he looks pretty badass to me. Still needs work, but he doesn't look bad. I can't wait to see the final touches they do to his look.
AC1 - 4/16/2013, 7:22 AM
yeah, the lights in the hoodie will work as a lighting reference for the VFX team...
RamonSuarez - 4/16/2013, 7:27 AM
This is waaaaay better than the classic Electro look of a green spandex with yellow bolts.

Too bad so much of TASM was a fail.
ChivesMcKay - 4/16/2013, 7:28 AM
Those lights make the makeup look so awesome. he's gonna do a great job.
GetsugaTensho22 - 4/16/2013, 7:28 AM
Yea, while the pics look goofy as [frick], i'm sure they've got something planned that'l make it look better on screen.
I still think TASM 1 sucked and that we don't need a new franchise, but i love Jamie Foxx enough to want to see his version of Electro.
DoIlookLIkeIGiveAFuk - 4/16/2013, 7:29 AM
@charlestheincredible yea they put lights in the hoodie just like they put little dots all over andy serkis face for lord of thr rings and planet of the apes
grabass - 4/16/2013, 7:31 AM

Looks great! All you complaining about the hoody, we know he gets a proper suit later on, this is presumably when he's just become Electro and is trying to hide it. Glad they went down the route of making him blue. Anything would be better than the green and yellow suit.
SpectacularJoSh - 4/16/2013, 7:36 AM
Set photos usually don't do it for me....and this isn't the exception, I'll just wait for a trailer.
76cidgrad - 4/16/2013, 7:36 AM
I was looking forward to this movie until I heard about the inclusion of Jamie Foxx. I think I'll pass...
dnno1 - 4/16/2013, 7:38 AM

Mr. Freeze approves!
SpectacularJoSh - 4/16/2013, 7:38 AM
Lmao tea those remind me of nipple covers...are those...nipples on his head? I have the weirdest boner right now
TayDee - 4/16/2013, 7:39 AM
I don't understand why people still click on spiderman articles knowing that the didn't even like the first one. What's the point?
SigmaCenturion - 4/16/2013, 7:39 AM
Reminds me of arnold's mr freeze... just with a hoody instead of a big metal suit.
RamonaPilgrim - 4/16/2013, 7:40 AM
Holy [frick], it looks even more scarier with the pratical effects. Can't wait to see actual electricity flowing through his vein after the effects are added.
dnno1 - 4/16/2013, 7:40 AM

Blue Man Group approves!
fortycals - 4/16/2013, 7:41 AM
Love it
CoulsonLives - 4/16/2013, 7:41 AM
I was sold when they started filming!
dnno1 - 4/16/2013, 7:43 AM

The Guardians of the Universe are not amused.
RamonaPilgrim - 4/16/2013, 7:45 AM

Most are butthurt DC/Nolan fanboys. It happens within all fanbases. DC fans are jealous and worried that The Amazing Spider-Man saga could cast a shadow on their precious "TDK Trilogy". A reboot is DC's biggest achievement, so they fear TASM can steal the spotlight. As far as I'm concerned, The Amazing Spider-Man has everything to become The Spider-Man of this generation just like Nolan did with his Batman.
1stgoat - 4/16/2013, 7:49 AM
I'm kind of getting a Cole McGrath vibe with his look. I like it.
Stumblin - 4/16/2013, 7:51 AM
Damn, he looks like a demon. Can't wait to see him after some CGI.
Alfredo27 - 4/16/2013, 7:51 AM
^ lmao I guess if your generation is teenagers because I havent even seen TASM nor do I want to, love the original trilogy they were good enough, don't like look of new spiderman actor all I need never to watch this trilogy, so keep claiming its so good and realize you are compeletely off base. I think this blue skin looks too overdone and corny, I think this spiderman trilogy will look more like 90's batman robin than Nolan Dark Knight
parkerray - 4/16/2013, 7:52 AM
He looks f'in awesome! Unfortunately, I don't read Ultimates, so this has nothing to do with Electro for me.

Crap, at least there's Rhino.
drellik - 4/16/2013, 7:53 AM
i freakin' love it. looks awesome. and i'm sure the LED lights will be edited later on...maybe a little CGI electricity around his face, which would be even sweeter. TASM2 faith has increased.

up next, Giamatti Rhino pics! lol
CharlesLord - 4/16/2013, 7:53 AM
@Rex dumbass? someone pissed in your cheerios this morning. I actually think the makeup looks cool, the hoodie and jeans on the other hand are too generic to be the actual costume he walks around in...maybe
CaptainAmerica31 - 4/16/2013, 7:55 AM
@Ramona it's surprisingly mostly marvel fanboys who come on here to hate. I'm talking about the marvel studio fanboys. Anything that's not from that studio is crap to them
parkerray - 4/16/2013, 7:55 AM
God I hope they're using Rhino for more than just comic relief. And knocking stuff over.
gambgel - 4/16/2013, 7:56 AM
I believe these are real photos, with a practical effect an all, but cant help but feel they look like manips
PC04 - 4/16/2013, 7:59 AM
Looks cool. Those lights are probably some kind of black light that enhance the luminescent body paint he's got on his skin. Obviously they'll be edited out in post production.
OptimusFlynn - 4/16/2013, 8:00 AM
Looks like a mix of a techno dj and a ghetto smurf lol!
finalattack - 4/16/2013, 8:02 AM
what shit, freaking avatar over here
sups92 - 4/16/2013, 8:03 AM
It's Electric!!
Thegeekygurl - 4/16/2013, 8:03 AM
@RamonaPilgrim Raimi's Spider-Man is the Spider-Man of this generation.
Webb's is just a flop. It did 200 million less than expected. It failed to do as much box office as Raimi's even with inflation and 3-D and its so bad that yes, its the Marvel answer to Nolan's 3 Batman The Dark Pussy Trilogy, a trilogy that had one great thing which was Ledger. Even Superman Returns did more money and was vastly superior though as dull as TDKR.
DC loyalists like to diss on Marvel Films. They dont need to put down Webb's Spider-Man or FOX's FF, those films put themselves down.

Nolan didnt create a Batman for this Generation he created one for himself and Old British ladies who watch BBCTV. It was a merger of Batman and boring and overacted British dramas. And also like some boring crap on PBS.
Nolan's Batman was the Chicago Cubs/Charlotte Bobcats/Marc Sanchez -Batman, the S.O.B. could not perform at Pro Level. He could not win. He was Kick-Ass dressed like Batman. He like Webb's Spider-Man sucks!
