THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2: New Extended International TV Spot

Just in case you haven't seen enough from Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man sequel yet, we have this 60 second-long international spot, which has a few Richard Parker related seconds of previously unseen footage. Take a look after the jump.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro, Sally Field as Aunt May, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, and Dane DeHann as Harry Osborn. The movie hits theaters May 2nd, 2014.

Nitrogenb - 2/26/2014, 5:25 AM
I know this was an International Trailer, but did anyone crap a brick when that dude busted into the trailer in Chinese (I believe it was Chinese)? Probably could've edited that better, haha.
Pasto - 2/26/2014, 5:29 AM
What allies? Sony only owns Spider-Man, Spider-Man, and uh, Spider-Man.
MagicalGoat - 2/26/2014, 5:31 AM
Threat turned ally perhaps?
TheVirgin - 2/26/2014, 5:32 AM

capcyclopsftw - 2/26/2014, 5:49 AM
What parts were new?
JJJameson - 2/26/2014, 5:53 AM
This will be the blockbuster of the year, ladies and gentlemen. As for the alluded too much footage in the article, we aren't obliged to watch every single teaser that gets online. I'm not watching this one, the latest international trailer was when I draw the line.

I've got the concerns that too much footage can ruin the surprise factor in a film, but it's not like they are forcing us to watch it. This is for the Asian countries, most people won't be browsing the internet looking for new footage for the film like us fanboys do.
marvel72 - 2/26/2014, 5:57 AM
18th april here i come.
xinstituto - 2/26/2014, 5:58 AM
this new franchise is for children
JJJameson - 2/26/2014, 6:15 AM
Actually, Spider-Man is for EVERYONE. And that's why he is so - pun intended - amanzing. This film will easily appeal to the four quadrants, and I believe that the "reboot factor" is a thing from the past now. Sony seems confident with this new film, and I feel that if the film is as good as it looks, EVERYONE will stand behind this film, except for those close minded people that have decided against the film long before the film even existed, which is just an annoying minority.

thanks for clearing that up : )

Jollem - 2/26/2014, 6:53 AM
tell ya what; you can google it and pretend like you're an expert
theowl - 2/26/2014, 6:56 AM
It's nothing new here. And that's good.
Jollem - 2/26/2014, 7:00 AM
don't worry, i'm pretty sure no one has seen anything yet

remember the amazing trailers for man of steel? yeah, they didn't even show you 1/100th of the gloriousness that was in the movie
ThanToast - 2/26/2014, 7:09 AM
Sony won't ever have my excitement until they actually care about Spidey and his associated characters.
Then again, they would only care about the $$$.
I'll be excited when Spider-man has a chance with interacting with a larger universe.
You can have my 7,8,9, or even 10 bucks, but that's all you're gonna get.
JJJameson - 2/26/2014, 7:10 AM
Yes, there's no new scenes here. It's just a TV Spot, which means that they are marketing the hell out of this, which also means that they are confident in their product.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is been marketed more than the others simply because among all the other films this year, it's the biggest. Sony is marketing a new Spidey film like the event that it deserves, and the film looks like the best since The Avengers so, good for them. And most of all, for us.
JJJameson - 2/26/2014, 7:13 AM

I get what you are saying, but it's not like they don't care about Spider-Man. I actually feel that besides Marvel Studios, Sony is the one that is actually putting their money where they heart is and actually going all out with this new Spidey flick. Yes, they are in for the money, but so are all the other studios as well. It just seems to me that Sony working closely to Marvel will pay off big time this time around.
Jollem - 2/26/2014, 7:17 AM
marc webb and co. actually care about spider-man very much
OneBadDay - 2/26/2014, 7:22 AM
I don't see any new footage. Am I missing something?
breakUbatman - 2/26/2014, 7:24 AM

Spidey may be for everyone but the primary target for TASM is for kids

There's a whole generation that wasnt born in 2002 when Spider-man came out, so there's a whole audience for whom this is a new experience. That was kind of the rationale. - Laura Ziskin

Pretty sure that audience would be fairly young
breakUbatman - 2/26/2014, 7:32 AM
Also why dont we wait to watch the movies before we declare box office? Everyone is comparing Cap TWS, TASM 2, X-Men :DOFP and GOTG but I tell you Transformers is most likely to clean house. The Turtles shouldnt be counted out either, they have a quality cartoon, comic book series and the benefit of nostalgia.

Its going to be a tight battle is all I can say, I hope they are all good
cipher - 2/26/2014, 7:37 AM
Joll, I'm genuinely curious.. what's your favourite Spidey story? Or writer?

Apologies in advance if you've mentioned it before, and I just haven't seen it.

CaptainAmerica31 - 2/26/2014, 8:06 AM
Spidey is for children. But this series is less campy than the previous one. And has some pretty dark moment or had some dark moments. If Gwen dies in this then it'll probably be the darkest moment for all five films. I'm glad it isn't super campy and kiddy, it has those elements but it isn't afraid to go dark when it needs to. Which is all I ask for
OneBadDay - 2/26/2014, 8:20 AM
@Spidey31 Norman's death was pretty dark.
Jollem - 2/26/2014, 8:29 AM
@cipher - kraven's last hunt. revenge of the sinister 6 for nostalgic reasons. i got nothing for favorite writer. there's been a lot of good ones
MrSotoMan - 2/26/2014, 8:37 AM
Watching it tomorrow in Orlando.

Can't wait.
cipher - 2/26/2014, 8:48 AM
Joll- Nice. Some of my favourite Spidey stuff is Stracyzski's (probably spelled that wrong) early work. I mean, the ideas are kinda out there.. but I loved it. I thought it was pretty cool that he had this sort of totemic thing goin' with Spidey and his baddies. Plus, I liked Morlun.

I didn't think Millar's run was all that bad, but it went in a direction I didn't particularly care for. I dunno, I just thought it kind of fizzled out toward the end. There's still some good stuff, though. Then, of course, there's the sixties stuff which is my absolute favourite, but I did enjoy Loeb's retelling in Spiderman: Blue.

Some Time Sale's always a good thing.
Kevwebsz - 2/26/2014, 9:24 AM

i mean....come on
CaptainObvious - 2/26/2014, 9:53 AM
Really? More footage? We'll, I guess it has been a day since new footage was released.
