THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Merchandise Nails It!

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Merchandise Nails It!

The cosmetic distributor OPI has unveiled their new collection of specialized nail polish based on Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man.

This summer is going to be huge for comic book movies, and you have to expect that a few of these blockbusters will have some unusual marketing tie-ins. Even The Avengers made some strange bedfellows when they teamed up with a fragrance company to produce a cologne set.

In May cosmetic company OPI will be shipping out to stores The Amazing Spider-Man nail polish collection. Most of the titles are pretty lame, but the double entendre for "Just Spotted the Lizard" is worth the price of the product.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

As an aspiring drag queen who likes to use comic book imagery in my costumes (hence why my stage name s Gwen Lacey), this is VERY relevant to my interests.

My favorites so far are "Gwen-ever" and "Your Web or Mine". Crackled nails are kind of out. So I'm not gonna bother with those. Oh gosh this is just so awesome! OPI makes some great stuff, so I'll be sure to get these!

Supes17 - 3/4/2012, 4:10 PM
I think Grif will get himself one of these lol
MovieTheaterLad - 3/4/2012, 4:12 PM
@Supes17

I don't understand how they could "troll" with pictures of nail polish. It's not like it's indicator of the film's quality or anything.
Supes17 - 3/4/2012, 4:14 PM
Hey I know that. But ppl here seem to forget. Just like how set Photos and bobble heads also indicate how a movie will fail
Supes17 - 3/4/2012, 4:15 PM
"Shatter your scales over Uncle Ben got shot again" :P
ManofSteel23 - 3/4/2012, 4:15 PM

CaptainAmerica31 - 3/4/2012, 4:15 PM
You guys know your gonna pick this up:)
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 3/4/2012, 4:18 PM
It's just Disney doing, what Disney does best lol.

MovieTheaterLad - 3/4/2012, 4:19 PM
@Superman2013

Yes, because as we all know, movies cannot be allowed to market to as many people as possible.

Besides, you can give comic book geeks the universe and they'll still ask for more.

@MrNoFear

How is this bad?
Doctorwho22 - 3/4/2012, 4:21 PM
DAMMIT!!! WHY?? WHY!?!
ibravosp5 - 3/4/2012, 4:27 PM

CaptainAmerica31 - 3/4/2012, 4:27 PM
Actually, girls have this really wierd attraction towards spiderman. I always see girls wearing spiderman shirts and if you ask them who their favorite superhero they'll say "spiderman!" " why? Cause he is so cute!"

NeoBaggins - 3/4/2012, 4:35 PM
I'm about to cook up some Avengers hamburger patties, slap on some HULK musk cologne and wait for my date to arrive. Can't wait to see her Spider-man nails covered in "My boyfriend scales walls" polish. Scratch my back baby...

Like the Lizard. Awe yeah

He's a cute guy who has a good sense of humor, not one to give up easily, loves his family, and is incredibly nimble and fast and probably incredible in bed. What's not to like?

@Suspense Smith

"usually don't like Tobey MacGuire"

Where were YOU when those movies came out? Because I remember being 11 in the theater and when Pete saw his hot new bod in the mirror all the girls were hootin' and hollerin'. The "Yup, BIG change part" only made matters worse.

The guy was pretty lovable.

antonio - 3/4/2012, 5:15 PM
@DemonHunter my thoughts exactly.
Supes17 - 3/4/2012, 5:16 PM

@Supes

Read my earlier posts throughout the article. What do YOU think?
Lizardking310 - 3/4/2012, 5:46 PM
Disney doesn't own spidermans movie rights this is Sony trying to get all of the twihards to fall for spiderman-twilight. This is just plain stupid I know all the marvel fans are trying to defend but deep down inside you guys know you hate it
