Three New Clips From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Released

You've seen a couple of these in awful bootleg quality, but hit the jump to check out the three brand new clips in SD. As well as the two already uploaded, the latest sees Peter Parker discovering his newfound superpowers.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

CaptainAmerica31 - 4/2/2012, 11:12 AM
@monkeyballs your judging off clips Sony just threw out of the bag? Do you even know whose writing this?
ShadesAtKnightII - 4/2/2012, 11:13 AM
Awesome. I don't quite get what was going on in the second one... but Andrew Garfield just looks awesome as Peter Parker.
spiderman2020 - 4/2/2012, 11:14 AM
this movie is gonna be so good
ThunderGod - 4/2/2012, 11:15 AM
I love the 3rd clip with the uncontrollable strength, thats how it should be portrayed. the witty humour, the accurate portrayals. Im really looking forward to TASM
SpiderFan35 - 4/2/2012, 11:16 AM
WTF was that? The first one was weird and not funny at all imo, if that is their idea of a "funny" Spidey then we may be in trouble.

The last one reminded me too much of the scene in Wolverine when he was chopping stuff up with his new claws.

SpiderFan35 - 4/2/2012, 11:20 AM
People, how is pretending to sneeze something out of your hands "witty"? I think you mean slapsticky and childish.

preacher - 4/2/2012, 11:20 AM
@SpiderFan35-really? What was it about the first clip that you DIDN'T find funny? If you truly are indeed a "spiderfan" then you'd know that a little comedy goes hand in hand with spidey.

I myself prefer DC/Vertigo stuff, but I also enjoy the occasional Marvel title. I've read some spidey, primarily Ultimate Spider-Man and really enjoyed them, particularly because OF the humor.

I was actually surprised at the amount of humor in the first and third clips. Loved them and am highly anticipating this one. Altho for awhile I was dubious about a reboot so soon after the previous ones. After all it did take quite awhile for the Batman franchise to be rebooted. That turned out well so high hopes for this.
thewolfx - 4/2/2012, 11:22 AM
that looked like abuncha outtakes

n then pete sticks to the ceiling of a train for everyone to see

good job webb good job ... -_-
SuperSpiderMan5778 - 4/2/2012, 11:25 AM

Superheromoviefan - 4/2/2012, 11:25 AM
looks like shit
just awful
vtopa - 4/2/2012, 11:26 AM
First one is a riot. Spidey isn't Spidey unless he is making wise-cracks.
NeoBaggins - 4/2/2012, 11:26 AM
Definitely hit and miss material. But I like the exploration of his strength.

Reminds me of WOLVERINE in the bathroom with his new claws, but still. I like that aspect.
prettynuclear2 - 4/2/2012, 11:28 AM
This is turning out a lot better than the avengers.
imnotahero - 4/2/2012, 11:30 AM
They should release these clips in HD. It's hard to hear some of the dialogue.
thewolfx - 4/2/2012, 11:31 AM
i agree neo but this movie has so much going against it , i hope it doesnt fail but ...
Wildaniel - 4/2/2012, 11:34 AM
Thegoddamnbatman52 - 4/2/2012, 11:34 AM
This movie looks great and I'm glad here incorporating more humor
gigface - 4/2/2012, 11:36 AM
did any body else notice that the web shooters light up when he activates them... pretty lame , not to mention the design and placement of them too far up on his forearm. Glad there is going to be humor back in Spidey but so far not impressed with the production/costume designs.
SheldonCooper - 4/2/2012, 11:37 AM
To those saying it looks cheap. First of all, the clips are 4/3, quality is crap, this is what clips out an app would look like. Plus the movie is shot in 2:35, and clips look like they have been reframed.

Anyway, looks fantastic and hilarious.
NextHero08 - 4/2/2012, 11:38 AM
Wow, Spiderman has become a complete cocky spider-douche...I can kinda dig it. SPIDER-TROLL!
SymbioteJoker - 4/2/2012, 11:38 AM
Oh come on how can you not like the first clip? If it was you on your first night out fighting crime, yeah you would mess around a bit
Spidey91 - 4/2/2012, 11:38 AM

HelaGood - 4/2/2012, 11:40 AM
he supposed to make jokes!!! thats who spider-man IS!
NextHero08 - 4/2/2012, 11:41 AM
and no way Peter Parker is so strong he had trouble turning the damn knob on the sink...come on. He's strong but that's just Superman cliche shyt.
SuperSomething616 - 4/2/2012, 11:41 AM
Thank you Marc Webb!!!
Lizardking310 - 4/2/2012, 11:47 AM
SpiderFan35 - 4/2/2012, 11:50 AM
@ Preacher: Of course I know that, and that is exactly my point, my opinion of the type of humour Spidey uses is not reflected in that scene. I acknowledge that humour is a relative concept, and I realize this is only one small clip that may even be an outtake for all we know, but having said that:

I did not find it funny because it was corny physical humour, and I prefer a Spidey that uses wit (quick thinking clever remarks) and intelligence in his humour. There have been several good examples of this in different animated series and even in the Raimi movies once in a while that much better reflect what the comics portray.

This display was neither witty nor clever, it looked like something that you would see in a movie aimed at children, or possibly the Police Academy series. Whatever floats one's boat.
finaljustice671 - 4/2/2012, 11:53 AM
I hope they don't go overboard with the douchey sarcasm. I understand Spidey is supposed to be wisecracking but it's never to the point of annoying in the comics. Leave that to Deadpool
Stumblin - 4/2/2012, 11:53 AM
@NextHero08, Spider-Man can lift a car man, his max is like 10 tons, so yeah he's that strong.
95 - 4/2/2012, 11:55 AM
I liked the first clip. Still not excited for this movie. Remember, I was excited for it before-- but now it's looking like a Blu-Ray rental for me.
HavocPrime - 4/2/2012, 11:55 AM
First clip was awesome
MovieMann - 4/2/2012, 11:56 AM
These looked great!
