Den of Geek just got word that we will be seeing the Sinister Six and the Venom films sooner than we thought. Hit the jump to check for all the details from Amazing Spider-Man 2 producer Matt Tolmach

In a recent interview with Den Of Geek, Matt Tolmach told them that will we be getting the Venom and Sinister Six spinoffs before The Amazing Spider-Man 4. "Before we know what we do with Spider-Man 4, we're going to do Sinister Six, Venom and Spider-Man 3," he explained. "There is going to be a lot of crossover in those movies. So we're just not at Spider-Man 4, because we still have a whole other Spider-Man movie and two other movies. So we don't know yet what [Spider-Man 4] is going to be" He also said there will be a movie released in May of 2018 but its "Not necessarily an Amazing Spider-Man movie." With that said are you excited that we are getting these films much sooner? Sound off below!

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

Figured we would get the Sinister Six movie first.
LEEE777 - 4/10/2014, 7:02 AM
Good, I kinda like SONY even though its basically the ULTIMATE SPIDEY UNIVERSE!

Looking forward to VENOM the most, make it bad ass and R rated, c'mon, it could lead into a successful horror franchise and lead into CARNAGE.
ALegendaryPanda - 4/10/2014, 7:05 AM
So....Venom in 2017 and Sinister Six in 2018?
ALegendaryPanda - 4/10/2014, 7:06 AM
God I would hate to wait that long though.
KarolosPrime - 4/10/2014, 7:07 AM
Can't wait to see how this shared universe plays out!!
ProfessorX - 4/10/2014, 7:08 AM
Actually Venom does have a director attached (Alex Kurtzman). My bad.
Doopie - 4/10/2014, 7:09 AM
if ASM4 is gonna be beyond this, garfield will be in his mid thirties by then. do we want a near middle aged spidey. granted he looks pretty youthful now but further down the line...
RRA - 4/10/2014, 7:11 AM
Spider-Man 4 will be a reboot.

sKeemAn - 4/10/2014, 7:12 AM
They are really pushing this SMCU (Spider-Man Cinematic Universe). I have very little faith in this.
marvel72 - 4/10/2014, 7:13 AM
yeah i reckon they'll reboot spidey after three movies, can't wait to see venom & the sinister six movies.
Doopie - 4/10/2014, 7:14 AM
that's what i'm thinking...another reboot. i don't mind it so much as long as we don't get another origin story
ProfessorX - 4/10/2014, 7:15 AM
It is true that Spidey has an amazing rogues gallery. I hope we get to see the likes of Scorpion, Shocker, Mysterio, Hobgoblin, Chameleon, Kraven, and Hydro-Man some day.
Doopie - 4/10/2014, 7:17 AM
the chameleon would be good because it would be a different kind of threat that spidey couldn't solve by simply punching it in the head. i really want to see mysterio as well
ReeferInferno - 4/10/2014, 7:18 AM
Yeah, the reviews have killed any interest I had in watching ASM 2, it has the same problems as the first, poor villain in electro, you don't care about him and it's just set up for more and more sequels. No interest in these either now.
marvel72 - 4/10/2014, 7:18 AM
marvel studios should release a thunderbolts movie, beat sony to the punch.
Gusto - 4/10/2014, 7:21 AM
I'll believe it when I see it.
ElBicho - 4/10/2014, 7:28 AM
Here's hoping they get Topher Grace...
Lozzy - 4/10/2014, 7:28 AM
I'm very curious to see how a sinister six movie turns out.
Moebius - 4/10/2014, 7:30 AM
There are only a couple of bad reviews. 88 is not a bad thing on rotten tomatoes. In fact, I think that's a higher score than the first movie. Everyone needs to just chill. The reviews were mostly positive.
DCMarvelFreshman - 4/10/2014, 7:32 AM
@NightWatcher Fixed up the article and sent it to the main. Great find!
NightWatcher - 4/10/2014, 7:35 AM

Thanks man, always appreciate the help!
BATMANx - 4/10/2014, 7:36 AM
Spiderman and X-men have the best villians. I like to see Red Hulk vs Hulk one day
fettastic - 4/10/2014, 7:43 AM
"I'm encouraged to hear that there will be "A lot of crossover" because that might mean Spider-Man at least makes an appearance in them? Of course the danger there is that audiences will then say "DAMN! Put Spider-Man back on the screen!"
ATrueHero1987 - 4/10/2014, 7:46 AM
Again, If you're gonna track Rotten Tomatoes, you should wait at least a week after the film is released.

I feel a Venom movie should be made AFTER he's introduced in a Spider-Man movie. Other than that, I'm down for it.

SN: Does Sony have the rights to Silver Sable?
Spideyinthemcu - 4/10/2014, 7:46 AM
How can tasm 4 not be about spider man. #completemarvelcinamaticuniverse
126thst - 4/10/2014, 7:51 AM
Spider-Man 4 MILES MORALES!!!!!
fettastic - 4/10/2014, 7:51 AM
@Spideyinthemcu, you misunderstood what he said. He said there will be AN ADDITIONAL FILM in May of 2018 that may not necessarily be an ASM film. So it could be a hero/villain film that's not connected to the others. Maybe Spider-Girl or Spider-Woman?
gaikinger - 4/10/2014, 7:53 AM
No love for Jack O'Lantern.....he's badass now!
MexicanSexyman - 4/10/2014, 7:58 AM
Awesome. I can't wait!
MrBatmor - 4/10/2014, 7:58 AM
I dont think a sinister 6 movie without spidey would work...and after seeing tasm2 I would hope that Sony changes the director...
feedonatreefrog - 4/10/2014, 8:00 AM
I wonder if the Sinister 6 film will be the first time we see them all together. Or will they be the villains of TASM3?

Same with Venom. Will he be in TASM3? Or does he debut in his own film. Flash or Brock?
MrBatmor - 4/10/2014, 8:00 AM
@sid the sloth is back!! :P
RetroFit - 4/10/2014, 8:01 AM
"I feel like my liver is fighting the Sinister Six."

DaVinci31 - 4/10/2014, 8:02 AM
MercwithMouth - 4/10/2014, 8:02 AM
Sounds good to me. Goddard has my undying faith for Sinister Six. And with Orci and Kurtzmann writing Venom, I'm happy, let's see what Kurtzmann can do behind the camera.
MrBatmor - 4/10/2014, 8:04 AM
@sid It was like im3 for me...great action...the tone was all over the place, the story has very little villan background....and it did feel a little "too" much villans...only green goblin would have the end you dont even care for electro. Because of the amazing performance by deen dehan as the goblin...
MrBatmor - 4/10/2014, 8:06 AM
Has Sony appointed someone to keep an eye on their "universe" joss whedon for ms...and miller for fox?
MrBatmor - 4/10/2014, 8:07 AM
@sid but overall it was a nice film and better than the first one by miles....
RamonSuarez - 4/10/2014, 8:07 AM
Great news. Add Sony to the list of studios well ahead of Fox.
MrBatmor - 4/10/2014, 8:11 AM
@sid well not exactly a twist..but something tells me that this movie is going to piss off a lot of hardcore fans....
