Like flies caught in a web, everyone is buzzing about the new Amazing Spider-Man movie, and Diamond Select Toys has already put out some amazing collectables based on the film! In addition to a movie-inspired series of their popular Minimates mini-figures, DST also recently shipped their Marvel Select Spider-Man and Lizard action figures to comic shops and specialty stores. Well, now MarvelStore.com, DisneyStore.com and physical Disney Store locations will have two special editions of Spidey, as well!

The first exclusive Marvel Select figure will be a version of Spider-Man with interchangeable gloveless hands, plus an interchangeable unmasked Peter Parker head, featuring the likeness of Andrew Garfield. The other exclusive figure will be an entirely metallic version of the regular Spidey figure, depicting the extra-shiny side of the new, big-screen Spidey-suit! Look for both special editions to arrive on MarvelStore.com, DisneyStore.com and Disney Store shelves in early July!

bought the Masked Spiderman Select figure. i love it but my only criticism would be the colouring, maybe make it a bit brighter and the webbing lines on the suit are a bit thick. but other then that its awesome and a great addition to my Marvel diamond select collection!
JredTheRed - 6/29/2012, 6:57 PM
so um can anyone explain to me why the masked version of spidey is still called "Unmasked Spider-Man"?
JohnWilbanks - 6/29/2012, 7:02 PM
Now that is a good question.
ManofSteel91 - 6/29/2012, 7:22 PM

ATrueHero1987 - 6/29/2012, 7:25 PM
Disney is going to make a ass of money off of merchandise for TASM.
JredTheRed - 6/29/2012, 7:27 PM
but they not apparently if so the masked one would have a interchangable paker head and hands but it doesnt.
TheAmazingAvenger - 6/29/2012, 7:32 PM
The new costume works better as a toy :3
angus666 - 6/29/2012, 7:33 PM
I love that the Parker variant has a Spidey mask also. I sill would feel embarrassed walking into a toy store looking for myself.
ULTIMOSPIDER - 6/29/2012, 8:09 PM
Why the hell do they keep calling it "Cobweb" shooting and swinging ? They say the same thing in the description of the HOT TOYS Spidey

They better not be calling it a Cobweb shooter...... or nickname him the CobWeb Slinger.....i would be pissed !!!
ULTIMOSPIDER - 6/29/2012, 8:11 PM
Destroyer7 ...any moron that thinks Spider-man 3 was awesome "IMMEDIATELY" loses credibility ....

Nuff Said !!!

I just picked up Spider-Man, from a Barnes & Noble of all places. It looks great, except the blue seems a little too light IMO.

Does this mean that Unmasked Spidey will be a Disney Store exclusive? Cause my local one still hasn't gotten any of them in yet
Willspider5 - 6/29/2012, 11:20 PM
Gotta get me the Garfield one. Go nice with my other unmasked figures collection. I love me some unmasked figures.
