awesome

I prefer the black webbing to the silver.
The14thAvenger - 7/6/2012, 10:03 AM
Absolutely loved TASM, although can someone explain to me how petere comes up with the idea of the webshooters? I remember the scene of him making them in the basement like we all saw in the trailers too, but did I miss a part where he actually thinks of the swinging concept and how he makes the webbing? Also does he definitely use the classis *thwip* hand gesture? Only noticed it at the end with the very final shot, I do realise that everything time apart from that shot would be harder to notice as its quick action and swinging all the time, but the original trilogy jaded make it quite obvious
jimoakley666 - 7/6/2012, 10:04 AM
I really like that 6th design down (3rd from bottom). That's very nice.
Jolt17 - 7/6/2012, 10:08 AM
I really like the narrow eyes, reminds me of Gabrielle Del'Otto's Spidey. I wish they went with that design for the movie.
Frogman - 7/6/2012, 10:09 AM
@The14thAvenger: Swinging from the chains and the report about Oscorp's web cable stuff that they were manufacturing. So he doesn't make the webbing itself, it comes from Oscorp.
BRandom - 7/6/2012, 10:10 AM
Beautiful like my balls

The Lizard is a mini-Godzilla.
Ha1frican - 7/6/2012, 10:14 AM
I wish they had gone cloth suit and maybe like a one way white material for the eyes to keep the homemade feel but i still think in that regard TASM did better than Spidey 2002 (how did he make all that rubber trim lol)
AsianVersionOfET - 7/6/2012, 10:16 AM
Ehh

CLEAR AS DAY, STILL BEST COSTUME WAS RAIMI'S
YOUNGBL00D - 7/6/2012, 10:29 AM
Why do all the concept art have spiderman with silver lines on his bodies in the new one the lines are black
EmoSpidey - 7/6/2012, 10:29 AM
These are AWESOME!!!

@Frogman, @The14thAvenger: If I'm not mistaken, I think Peter actually found some of the web cartridges in his dad's briefcase. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I was also under the impression that his dad created the webbing compound (which I thought was a very cool aspect of the story) and now Oscorp is manufacturing it.
Stumblin - 7/6/2012, 10:31 AM
Personally I think the new costume dominates Raimi's. I hated the raised webbing, it always looked goofy and didn't really make sense. What material is that? Seems like something that would not be very durable. Amazing Spider-Man's costume makes more sense, still doesn't look like a kid could make it, but neither does Raimi's.
Stumblin - 7/6/2012, 10:32 AM
@YOUNGBL00D, because they're concepts?
Name - 7/6/2012, 10:33 AM
As spiderman was better portrayed in this i saw staright past the suit even though its not that bad. Who was complanaing about the suit when he was going at it with lizard or when he was swinging around?
superotherside - 7/6/2012, 10:33 AM
I don't really like the stripes on the legs. It's just weird. The blue on the gloves is stupid too.
superotherside - 7/6/2012, 10:34 AM
Cool art though.
BRandom - 7/6/2012, 10:34 AM
@spiderjosh...He got the idea from the lab, but i think he first took apart his watch and turned it into a cartridge....haha I could be very wrong
Spidey31 - 7/6/2012, 10:35 AM
I really like these suit designs they're quite nice and very cool loking
JackDexx - 7/6/2012, 10:40 AM
how hard is it to get the eyes right. four movies. four damn movies and not one got the eyes right.
Stumblin - 7/6/2012, 10:42 AM
@JackDexx, what are you even talking about? Spider-Man doesn't have one set design for his eyes, the design has gone through countless redesigns because of era of comics, costume changes or because of an artist's interpretation.
Spidey31 - 7/6/2012, 10:45 AM
Really cool concepts hope they use the criminal concept in the sequel, it would be more Spidey like unlike the movie where he didn't really stop and fight any criminals for the city.
EmoSpidey - 7/6/2012, 10:47 AM
@BRandom- Hopefully, I'll be seeing it again this weekend. Then I can watch for little things like that and fill in the gaps.
BRandom - 7/6/2012, 10:56 AM
@spiderjosh- Yea I caught a lot more the second viewing
Spidey31 - 7/6/2012, 11:05 AM
Poop
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/6/2012, 11:23 AM
Last pic looks like Spider-man stole Robins mask lol.
BRandom - 7/6/2012, 11:23 AM
@spiderjosh...Took my parents the second time (moms first 3d, she loved it) So i couldn't hit the bong quite as much...that helps too on picking up on the little things. ;P
JorLBola - 7/6/2012, 11:24 AM
Very close to the final product I love the symbol in the chest :)
AlexDeLarge87 - 7/6/2012, 11:24 AM
Something in the vein of this design would have been cool. Just should have made the red area on chest and belly more wider and webbing on the suit black and it would have been perfect. :)
JorLBola - 7/6/2012, 11:31 AM
My favorite is the second full body but such a complex design would be impossible to do for a teenager, Even so would not bother me to see it in the screen
Netman0007 - 7/6/2012, 11:56 AM
Way to [frick] with what was already a great costume
Tony93 - 7/6/2012, 12:09 PM
I wanted Spidey to battle the Lizard in the streets of New York damnit..
EmoSpidey - 7/6/2012, 12:46 PM
@BRandom- Haha! I'll bet that makes for quiet the experience.
Odin - 7/6/2012, 12:55 PM
Saw the movie, didn´t like it at all, wadda huge pile crab!!
bigfootman95 - 7/6/2012, 1:41 PM
@Odin
I guess you like the big cry baby Spider-Man version better, then the bad ass new Spider-Man.
MikeHawk - 7/6/2012, 2:32 PM
woah thats amazing artwork lol A Spidey and Lizard chase scene in the streets of times square or the village wouldve been crazyyyyyyy
Thegoddamnbatman52 - 7/6/2012, 2:32 PM
I'm glad they didn't decide to go with the silver lines that appeared in the raimi version, for some reason even though they were a small detail I never was able to completely like the raimi suit because of them, however loved the new suit and the new movie, I got the same Feelings of awe that I did when I saw the original movie in theaters ten years ago
MikeHawk - 7/6/2012, 2:35 PM
If only the lizard was portrayed somewhat like the raptors in Jurassic Park! slow, creepy movements, and can scare the crap out of you if shot well =/
Lindsey35 - 7/6/2012, 4:16 PM
Those are all awesome, but I still think the one from the film is best.
jumpingJellybeans - 7/6/2012, 5:09 PM
I hated the eyes. That's my only complaint. I didn't mind the leg stripes (had a bit of a problem with the randomness on the arms) was a little iffed out when I saw the design of his chest but when I saw it in action it looked great. But the [frick]ing eyes... Sweet lord. I'm surprised he could see out of the things. They looked MUCH too small.
jumpingJellybeans - 7/6/2012, 5:09 PM
@Chloefornication ... Are you done yet?
thewolfx - 7/6/2012, 5:14 PM
wtf is up with the stupid ass leg stripes????

does spidey work for nascar part time and i didnt get the memo?

anyways the belt really does help, shoulda been in the final design
sameoldthing - 7/6/2012, 6:13 PM
People gotta stop with the idea that Peter can't make such elaborate costumes regarding either Raimi's version or the new suit.

It's a comic book movie for crying out loud..almost everything is impossible to believe.
Would ya rather him dressed up in red footy pajamas? That's more realistic.
Besides,Peter's smarter than any of us so he can figure it out.

Just wish concept artists would keep it simple & not go so elaborate, both movie versions are good but the shoes on new suit are stupid.
BenderDickCumPatch - 7/6/2012, 6:36 PM
Thank god we didn't get crap like this for the final.
riseofLOGANX36 - 7/6/2012, 8:40 PM
Now that looks like spider-man if the suit looked like that i would be loveing this movie. Why the hell did they put strait lines and not webbing?!?!?! I swear it looks like a basketball!

@elguason Is that from amazeing spider-man or ultimate spider-man? And the suit still looks stupid.

This is anazing spider-man...
Photobucket
This is the classic look for spider-man and this is what Rimi's suit looked like and this is what the suit looks like not that garbage ultimate suit.

UNTIL next time TRUE BELIEVERS!

Spidey31 - 7/6/2012, 8:57 PM
No that's "AMAZING" Spiderman not ANAZING spiderman
Spidey31 - 7/6/2012, 9:15 PM
Dumbass
PeterParker1991 - 7/7/2012, 6:03 AM
I love the Ben Reily elements in his costume.
