The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field; the film is set to hit Blu-ray and DVD November 9th, 2012.

Those figure look like crap. Doesn't even appear that they are in the same scale.
Spidex3000 - 8/24/2012, 8:31 AM
Seriously, for them to charge 30 more bucks for those, I'll be sticking with the regular 4 disc release.
ATrueHero1987 - 8/24/2012, 8:33 AM
I just want the copy that only includes: Blu Ray 3D, Blu Ray, DVD, and digital copy. I don't want no figurines :)
SimyJo - 8/24/2012, 8:35 AM
I'd prefer these to those figurines.

GoILL - 8/24/2012, 8:36 AM
It's cool i'll probably end up just getting the regular blu-ray release if I do buy this.
jessepostal - 8/24/2012, 8:37 AM
They look like happy meal toys, prob worse than some fast food toys
SimyJo - 8/24/2012, 8:37 AM
@SteveRogersSon;
"Wow...um how does he drain his lizard?"

Sad missed-punnage is sad. ;)
BigEars - 8/24/2012, 8:41 AM
Fair enough they didn't give the Lizard a lab coat, but no pants, and then no penis? Please, I ain't dying 2 c mutant Lizard dick, but no one seems 2 address that lol, the least Spidey could've done is made a joke bout his weiner falling off cos of his transformation

SimyJo - 8/24/2012, 8:41 AM
Silly Disney/Marvel!.
Should of gone with these instead!;

CPBuff22 - 8/24/2012, 8:47 AM
I wonder if this will go the way of the "Limited Edition" Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Blu-ray. The one that came with the much cooler Silver Surfer statuette and was clearanced down to $5 at Best Buy about six months after release.
SimyJo - 8/24/2012, 8:49 AM
@TheStarSpangledMan;
"Do people on this site know that a lizard's genitalia is INSIDE them..."

What, inside me?... how the hell?...I thought it was just this chair that was uncomfortable!. Now I'm worried.
plasticman - 8/24/2012, 8:51 AM
And I would buy this crap for what reason?

Where am I going to display these sub-par figures? The bottom or a junk drawer. It's a somewhat cool looking Spiderman statue, but I still can't get over how odd the Lizard looks. While his design is similar to a Kirby-esque look it does not translate well in real life.

Was the move really deemed worthy of 3-D? Not in my book. 3-D is still overrated. Only a handful of movies are worth it to shell out the equipment and disc costs to upgrade to this. Not worth it, yet.

This is the one A-list CBM that I am least joyous about. Will I buy the Blu-Ray disc set? Yes, but let's hope the sequel to this version is more appealing to the masses.

@SteveRogersSon;
"@ SimyJo...sorry dude...I'm in a tech class and my mind's focused on that....how could I have missed it GAHHH"

I don't suppose you or your friends would mind whipping meup some web-shooters while your there?.. I'd pay top dollar for em'.
Roscoe182 - 8/24/2012, 8:52 AM

SimyJo - 8/24/2012, 9:03 AM
@SteveRogersSon:

Just tell them to do their best, please.
I'm using these at the moment;

and I'm not happy. I jumped off a roof and pressed the button and f*** all happened. I'm currently housebound with both legs in a cast, a broken collarbone and missing several teeth.

Boyle360 - 8/24/2012, 10:21 AM
Idiots asking where The Lizard's penis is. Have you ever seen a reptiles' penis outside of it's body? No. You morons.
BigeBigzWells - 8/24/2012, 10:22 AM

SimyJo - 8/24/2012, 10:41 AM
@Boyle360;
"Idiots asking where The Lizard's penis is. Have you ever seen a reptiles' penis outside of it's body? No. You morons".

It could be because Dr.Conners is over forty, and as you well know a certain percentage of men suffer from..

...at that age.
Wingding - 8/24/2012, 10:59 AM

Bandido - 8/24/2012, 11:43 AM

Great movie, terrible gift set. Cheap ass plastic statues. I'll just grab the normal Blu-Ray movie thanks.
CaptainObvious - 8/24/2012, 1:38 PM
This movie isn't worth 67 dollars. Especially, for those cheap figurines you can find in a Happy Meal.
DanRem1221 - 8/24/2012, 2:12 PM
Wtf would I want all 3 versions of the film?
SimyJo - 8/24/2012, 2:47 PM
Blu-Ray; For your home cinema widescreen art-farty set-up.

DVD; For when you've broken the blu-ray through over-use, and its all there is between you and going cold-turkey with your favorite film.

Digital copy; So you can watch the film on your smartphone while on the bus/train/metro back out to a high-street store for an emergency blu-ray replacement.
BenderDickCumPatch - 8/24/2012, 2:56 PM

notmuchtotellreally - 8/24/2012, 11:19 PM
All you guys would have said the same thing no matter how they looked. Since you hate the movie you also hate these.
They look cool to me. I don't know if it's just me but they don't look plastic at all. More like porcelain.
Also why are they're people joking about the Lizard's dick, when they themselves don't have any. In the mouth doesn't count.
CrazyKeaton - 8/25/2012, 8:25 AM
