Hi, I'm a Marvel...and I'm a DC: Spider-Man and...? Part 2

An accident involving Spider-Man's subconscious has allowed Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man face off. But at what cost?

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film is now playing at your local cinema!

Ha! I love these!
NerdyGeek - 9/1/2012, 7:28 PM
Poor Tobey!

But Garfield cried even more to be fair ;)
flannelmandude - 9/1/2012, 7:29 PM
Nice. That's pretty funny
Maximus101 - 9/1/2012, 7:31 PM
I'm sorry but tobey is a terrible actor, the amazing spider man all day no question.
xizorkatarn - 9/1/2012, 7:33 PM
So... everything "bad" about Amazing Spider-man was in response to shit Tobey Maguire forced down our throats?

I think I'm okay with that.
ninjaturtle11 - 9/1/2012, 7:35 PM
tony stole it for me at the end lolll
TrueRedBlue - 9/1/2012, 7:37 PM
I love both incarnations of Spidey, but this was still hilarious xD
IronSpider101 - 9/1/2012, 7:39 PM
Loved ALL of the jabs at TASM. Well put.

RR51 - 9/1/2012, 7:46 PM
BIGBMH - 9/1/2012, 7:47 PM
One of his best videos of this kind. Acknowledges the flaws of both incarnations that fanboys try to deny.
JDUKE25 - 9/1/2012, 7:47 PM
Haha this was awesome.
Bodwulf - 9/1/2012, 7:50 PM
Random Guy always does a great job.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/1/2012, 7:54 PM
if you think that Andrew's spider-man is better than tobey's , I don't know what to say. Spider-man 2 is one of the best comic book movies of all time.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/1/2012, 7:54 PM
btw this video was really funny. Probably his best so far.
TinyBirdcage - 9/1/2012, 7:55 PM
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man was much better.
Jefferys - 9/1/2012, 7:55 PM
The ending was probably the greatest conclusion to a video of all time. Basically summed up the entire forums here.
SUPERBATSPIDERMAN - 9/1/2012, 7:55 PM
I really enjoyed the Amazing Spider-Man and I thought it got a lot of things right but it was just missing something that I felt when I saw the original. I am not sure what it was but I prefer the original film. That being said I did very much enjoy the Amazing Spide-Man and I am very looking forward to the future sequels.
TrueRedBlue - 9/1/2012, 7:56 PM
Let's NOT let this article turn into a "Which Spider-Man was better" type of thing, okay? Seriously, spare me...
Ultimatespideyfan - 9/1/2012, 7:58 PM
HAHAHAHA. Spider-fun.
GetsugaTensho22 - 9/1/2012, 7:58 PM
Personally, i disliked TASM when compared to Raimi's trilogy. It wasn't a bad movie, but i enjoyed the originals far more.
TheSoulEater - 9/1/2012, 8:03 PM
That was TOO funny

Photobucket
jimpinto24 - 9/1/2012, 8:09 PM
Funny video!
thewonderer - 9/1/2012, 8:16 PM
TASM doesn't hold a candle to the quality of the first 2 SPMs in my opinion.

I really hated it, with the sole silver linings being Garfield and Stone who were the only improvements
golden123 - 9/1/2012, 8:21 PM
I really didn't think this was funny. In my opinion, RandomGuy has seriously lost his sense of humor in his videos.
ATrueHero1987 - 9/1/2012, 8:23 PM
TASM was pretty good but not as good as it should've been. An improvement over the first & third Raimi movies but Spider-Man 2 is the best Spider-Man movie to date. That's fact.

I liked the mountain dew joke and both yelling about the other keeping their mask on.lmao
JDUKE25 - 9/1/2012, 8:24 PM
"with the sole silver linings being Garfield and Stone"

Don't forget the silver lining of the shoes
JokerFan21 - 9/1/2012, 8:25 PM
Meh. The Amazing Spider-Man was better in all parts except for the villain.
AmericanPsychoWolf - 9/1/2012, 8:25 PM
Spider-Man: Who knows maybe my movie can outgross yours.

Batman.........Milkshake?

Spidey: Oh sure thanks Bats *slurps, falls down snoring*

Batman: Keep dreaming kid.

I totally lol'd
thewonderer - 9/1/2012, 8:30 PM
TASM just felt like a rehash DONE WORSE of everything in Spider-Man one!

Horrible Uncle Ben Death
Horrible Aunt May all the way through
Horrible "new york people" involvement gimmick
Horrible inspiration for suit design montage
Horrible representation of Peters bullying by Flash
Horrible after credits scene
Horrible ending of subplots!
Horrible Spider bite!

Garfield brought a lot of heart to the role, and I loved his dynamic with Stone. Thats about it. What a piece of shit
KNIGHT3000 - 9/1/2012, 8:36 PM
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN shoulda been called SPIDER-MAN RETURNS, cause yea, it was that weak.
deanwilkins - 9/1/2012, 8:37 PM
I love Raimi. His Spidey films however were terrible. Tobey was a horrible Peter Parker and worse as Spidey. Amazing delivers on all fronts. And Andrew nails both parts of the role. While Amazing wasn't perfect I felt it gave me what I wanted from one of my favorite comic book characters.
JustDame - 9/1/2012, 8:49 PM
I still definitely prefer Raimi's Spider-Man.
angus666 - 9/1/2012, 9:00 PM
Spider Man 2 is the best of all the Spidey films. TASM was very enjoyable though.
thewonderer - 9/1/2012, 9:13 PM
@TheStarSpangledMan

I like the original Spider-Man movies, what does that have to do with me liking Batman?

Its easy to post pictures of Tobey Maguire looking stupid during scenes where uh hes supposed to look stupid.

God forbid he cry during Uncle Bens death, yea Garfields 5 second cry to the air was so much more effective.

Heres this summer for me:
Avengers: 8.5/10
Men in Black 3: 7/10
Cabin in the Woods: 6.5/10
Dark Knight Rises: 9.5/10
Amazing SPM - 4/10
Brave - 6/10

Man what a disappointment Brave was too
ATrueHero1987 - 9/1/2012, 9:15 PM
Lmao!
Supes17 - 9/1/2012, 9:24 PM
KEEP YOUR MASK ON!

LMFAO:P

I still prefer Raimi's Spider-Man..
IronSpider101 - 9/1/2012, 9:29 PM
Hey I'm incredibly smart Peter Parker, and I am really upset and touchy about the situation with my parents.

That's why it took me 13 years to google my dad's name.

I'm going to stop this car burglar... by breaking into the car first... boy, lots of thought was put into the sequences of this movie.

I can't talk like a normal human being, I must have some sort of mental disease, it's endearing.
theInvincibleMexiMan - 9/1/2012, 9:34 PM
Both sucked, this guy was the tits ;)
Ranger14 - 9/1/2012, 9:38 PM
Somewhat of a biased article photo posting of Toby crying and a regular Garfield, especially considering Garfield cried a lot more in TASM (The Average Spiderman).
Chewtoy - 9/1/2012, 9:42 PM
Eh, the studio brought the lack-luster response to "The Amazing Spider-man" on themselves, by insisting on rebooting the thing from the origin story. Totally unnecessary... They could have recast and not referenced the prior films like James Bond has done 30 some times before, and everyone would have been cool with it.
SageMode - 9/1/2012, 9:45 PM
The back and forth banter between those two were funny as hell. Hahahaha
Jollem - 9/1/2012, 9:47 PM
i dig both versions. like tasm best out of all, tho

thewonderer - 9/1/2012, 9:49 PM
@starspangledman

Everyone has been praising Garfield, and I say its pretty evenly split the division between which film series fans. If not, TASM has the lead.

They should've gone A WHOLE different route with this one.

And I liked MiB3, I had a way better time in it than I had in TASM. I'm sorry that makes you feel I'm misguided
MovieTheaterLad - 9/1/2012, 9:52 PM
Spider-Man is never funny.

I honestly wish that they would focus more on the action scenes having action rather than them having jokes.
SuspenseSmith - 9/1/2012, 10:07 PM
Webb needs full control of the next film. Sony's the one to blame with anything wrong. Hopefully since it made 700 mil, Sony will loosen their grip around their director's neck next time.

TASM was a good start to a franchise. It has a good tone and a lot to build on. It all depends on the sequel now.
IronSpider101 - 9/1/2012, 10:08 PM
I doubt Webb will do a second one if he doesn't have to. This was probably nothing more to him than a career booster, which is good, I want to see more genuine Webb, less studio puppeteering.
Spidey31 - 9/1/2012, 10:29 PM
I like both series(so far) and I think what people mean by Tobey " crying" is how ridculous he looks when he cries lol. @Thewonderer I'm sorry but its hard not to think you're Nolanite especially when I see you praising him on every Nolan article about him and bashing anyone that says different. You make it too obvious, and don't pull that opinon shit on me anyone that roams this site will know how big of a Nolan fan you are too tell that you pretty much wanna troll anything that's not batman related so you can make nolans movies lok superior becasue you ad your superior skills in movie knowledge says so. And when you see some people bashing a movie( like this) you seize the moment too attack and be like " oh I didn't like it either" to legitimize your complaints. Unlike the avengers where pretty much everyone liked it so it would make it obvious that you hated it becasue it wasnt a Nolan film/batman film. Yes Nolan's last film has some haters too, please justify why it's the best movie every and kicks every other movies ass becasue " it's that epic" please justify its flaws I really wanna hear it.
Spidey31 - 9/1/2012, 10:34 PM
Bias at its finest people
Spidey31 - 9/1/2012, 10:39 PM
How do you exceed people to take your opinion seriously when you are biased? I can list all the problems with TASM right now, not nitpicks.

1.ratha plot hole

2. The villian

3.aunt mays non existint role( till the end)

4. Gwen and peters relationship was a bit under developed( although the chemistry was great)

I can't stand biased people bashing something and trying to pass it off as a legtimite complaint when really its just a close minded person throwing rocks at an already dead bird they happened to kill a long time ago.
