Sony Releases 10 Minutes Of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 And It's As Bad As You Remember

Ahead of the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release, Sony Pictures have released the first ten minutes of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 online. You can relive the goofy humour, cringe-worthy dialogue, and forgettable action scenes from the sequel's opening right here!

Did you miss The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters earlier this year? Well, ahead of the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release, Sony Pictures have officially released the first ten minutes of the movie. I'm not sure how smart a decision this was as most people can normally tell whether a movie is going to be good within the first few minutes, and what we see here...isn't great! In fairness, the web-swinging IS like the comic books come to life, but not even that can mask the sequel's many issues (and if you don't believe that it had any, why else are Sony revamping the franchise?). Regardless, check out the preview below and share your thoughts in the usual place.

Or, you know, you could go ahead and add your thoughts to your own article, since EVERY other movie news reporting sites do that as well. I guess that's an option. Totally up to you =P
TheBuoyWonder - 8/4/2014, 11:37 AM
*runs away*
SauronsBANE - 8/4/2014, 11:37 AM
Seriously though, this movie was such utter shit. If anything, it deserves even MORE hate than it already has.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 8/4/2014, 11:38 AM
Spidey let so many people get injured in this scene which could have easily been avoided by just pulling rhino outta the truck
Pasto - 8/4/2014, 11:39 AM
In Spidey's defense, he didn't pull Rhino out so fast because banter.
DaVinci31 - 8/4/2014, 11:40 AM
Hans Zimmer, man, what happened?

Berserker187 - 8/4/2014, 11:41 AM
Can't see it.
GreenLantern519 - 8/4/2014, 11:41 AM
I thought the opening shots of Spider-man swinging were beautiful. Paul Giamatti's Rhino is a joke, though.
BigMikeReviews - 8/4/2014, 11:41 AM
This is the most objective and un-biased article Josh has ever written about this movie....

.... That was sarcasm by the way.
FirstAvenger - 8/4/2014, 11:41 AM
The score made this movie even worse. Smh
CaptainObvious - 8/4/2014, 11:42 AM
My favorite part is when Spider-Man lets innocent drivers get hit just so he can exchange witty banter with the Rhino.
jessepostal - 8/4/2014, 11:44 AM
Electro for the worst cbm movie villain ever!
Jay12678 - 8/4/2014, 11:44 AM
I still don't understand the massive amount of hate this film gets. I loved it. Saw it in theaters and buying it on Blu-Ray. To each our own.
Reasonnnn - 8/4/2014, 11:45 AM
Lol a lot of film blogs/sites post their opinion on a film in their articles. Give Josh a break.
Stubner - 8/4/2014, 11:45 AM
So surprised Josh Wilding is reporting his opinion as news again.

He's a TRUE journalist.

feedonatreefrog - 8/4/2014, 11:46 AM
These aren't the first 10 minutes.
ndwwrestler2 - 8/4/2014, 11:46 AM
Just by reading the headline,You could tell this was written by Josh Wilding.

Well we all have a right to our opinions.
MrPrime - 8/4/2014, 11:46 AM
Thinking about watching this then I came to my senses

SAMURAI36 - 8/4/2014, 11:47 AM
"You can relive the goofy humour, cringe-worthy dialogue, and forgettable action scenes from the sequel's opening right here!"

Clearly we didn't watch the same movie.
BigMikeReviews - 8/4/2014, 11:47 AM
The central performances and the dynamics between Peter and Gwen was the dramatic core of the film, and in this respect the film excelled. Emotionally speaking this film generated a larger response from me than any other comic book movie this year as I felt and cared for the two main characters. The movie is a narrative mess and the villains are not as fleshed out as they ought to be, but it is by no means as bad a movie as some here will lead you to think.
ckal - 8/4/2014, 11:47 AM
I have not seen this movie.

I have not seen this movie because it is a piece of shit just like I knew it would be.
blacksuited - 8/4/2014, 11:48 AM
I LOVE this movie but I think Josh's articles about it are [frick]ING HILLARIOUS
Stubner - 8/4/2014, 11:48 AM
Reasonnnn - 8/4/2014, 11:45 AM

Lol a lot of film blogs/sites post their opinion on a film in their articles. Give Josh a break.

yeah but they don't needlessly report their personal opinion in EVERY...SINGLE...ARTICLE they post.

It's shameful and quite frankly I doubt I'm the only one who thinks so.

I'm sure Josh is a cool guy and all. He's just a little much to take on here sometimes with his beyond bias "reporting".
RedConverse - 8/4/2014, 11:49 AM
What? Josh Wilding forcing his obnoxious opinion through what should be an unbiased news article, turning it into a thinly veiled opinionated message board post without any regard to serving the reader base with any genuine sincerity?

You've got to be kidding me.
DeusExSponge - 8/4/2014, 11:49 AM
DAMN! Shots fired before we even got to the article!
JohnnyCloud - 8/4/2014, 11:49 AM
Well I didn't like the first Amazing Spider-Man either.
I'll stick to Raimi's first two movies until something else comes along.

Josh inserts himself in articles about famous people twitting, what exactly do you expect from a guy like that?
I wish the name of the "writer" was apparent before one clicks on an article, I'd skip him every time.
FirstAvenger - 8/4/2014, 11:49 AM
The first 10 minutes are the best part. Lol
HelloAlien - 8/4/2014, 11:50 AM
the potential this movie had .......wasted just.... wasted i think it would have been awesome without rhino just electro and goblin
bedsurfer - 8/4/2014, 11:51 AM
Is there a way to hide contributors? He's entitled to his opinion and all but I'm coming on here less because I'm sick of having this entitled guy's opinion shoved down my throat.

Loved this movie, no where near perfect but still this is one of my favourite openings to a CBM.
DrKinsolving - 8/4/2014, 11:51 AM
So bad, the worst movie I've seen in a long, long time.... They are ruining Spider-Man beyond repair

MrCBM56 - 8/4/2014, 11:51 AM
Terrific movie! My favorite part was when it ended
3DOldskool - 8/4/2014, 11:52 AM

Laughed out loud during this movie; I enjoyed it immensely. Andrew Garfield has more charisma in his left nut than a legion of Tobey Maguires

It's good to know you have your own opinion, but at the end of the day, don't expect other people to believe you or agree with you.
TheBeard - 8/4/2014, 11:52 AM
I watched a bootleg copy and never finished it.
Berserker187 - 8/4/2014, 11:53 AM
why are they doing this? the movie was not as good as it was hype to be. yeah this movie was best
Phronesis - 8/4/2014, 11:53 AM
@SauronsBANE1 Haha, agreed.
WinterSoldier33 - 8/4/2014, 11:53 AM
i liked the ASM2, yes it had its problems but still good in my opinion
monkeyballs - 8/4/2014, 11:53 AM
THis movie blows. I saw this one for free and still feel like I want my money back.
