Yet Another AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Poster Revealed

Yet Another AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Poster Revealed

Amidst news of delays coming from the Warner Bros camp, Sony Pictures marketing campaign for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is in full swing, when yet another glorious poster hits the web, check out yet another bad ass Spider-Man's poster after the jump!

A Russian website revealed a new The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and good Lord it's glorious:

I need to find some of these posters because I simply need them hang on my wall. This seems to be a variation of the previously released poster we've seen earlier this week, but I simply can't get enough of how amazing both of them look.

They seem to be inspired by this classical Mark Bagley's Spider-Man splash page:

The marketing campaign for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 leading to the May, 2nd release date has been nothing short from stellar so far, while Warner Bros disappoints yet again, showing they have no clue what to do with a whole universe of superhero characters. Sony seems to be single studio in town - other than Marvel Studios, obviously - that seems to have an actual plan for their movieverse.

As a superhero fan from both Marvel and DC Comics characters, I just wish Warner Bros was as bold as Sony is and acknowledge that DC Comics characters are worthy of getting a movieverse treatment similar to what Disney is doing with Marvel Studios and Sony themselves are doing with Spider-Man: get talented, invested and passionated people involved with the production of these films and step away to make the best film possible.

I believe The Amazing Spider-Man 2 can be one of the best superheroes films yet because of this very reason. That and the fact that they seem to have knock this one out of the park. If only DC Comics characters would have the luxury of having other studios but Warner Bros involved with their characters, maybe we would be getting something other than Marvel related films when it comes to Comic Book Movies in the upcoming years.

Official Synopsis:
"We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp."

The Amazing Spider-Man's greatest battle begins in May 2nd, 2014.

Holy crap, somebody at Sony mastered Photoshop!

"Warner Bros disappoints yet again showing they have no clue what to do with a whole universe of superhero characters"

Neither does Sony. Also, what does a poster have to do with other comic book movies and their shared universes?

By the way, this poster sucks. All they did was tilt his head down slightly.

just [frick]ing tacky, zauri. leave your personal bias and criticisms out of it

Gettin' lazy over at Sony.

JJJameson - 1/18/2014, 10:25 AM
The personal part it's just my inner nerd rage talking. I sincerily believe that DC Comics characters would be better served outside Warner Bros. I love DC Comics, I [frick]ing HATE Warner Bros. I'm not trying to be tacky, I'm as much a Batman and Superman fan as I'm a Spider-Man one. It's just that it's getting quite obvious that Warner Bros doesn't have a single clue on what to make of their DC Comics characters.

You can say everything about Sony, but none of us can deny that other than Marvel Studios, they are easily the studio that seems to have understood what Marvel Studios did to achieve their movieverse and they are actually doing something to actually 'realize fully their vision'. It's not about personal bias, it's about looking at the schedule and realizing that it'll take almost three years - or maybe actually three years, because I wouldn't discard Disney changing the release date of Ep VII to May 6th, 2016 - to get a superhero film based in a DC Comics character, while we'll get Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Amazing Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and even X-Men: Days of Future Past this year, The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man in 2015, The Amazing Spider-Man 3, yet another X-Men film (hopefully a reboot), an unnamed Marvel Studios film and maybe even another Marvel studios film in 2016 alone.

It seems obvious to me that Warner Bros. doesn't know what the [frick] what they are doing, but to each his own.

"His greatest battle begins?" I thought it would be "the untold story continues". This movie series and Marc Webb really need to get their priorities straight. Already seeing the numerous continuity errors making it's way into this film. Sonya's shared universe is gonna end up like the x-men universe if all the questions aren't answered by the end of this film.

Btw when are we gonna get some Goblin posters? Also, we better get a good reason on why the villains "unite", as said in the electro poster.
GizmoEl - 1/18/2014, 12:50 PM
Well. Not only did Sony announce THREE sequels already, but they've also announced the Venom and Sinister Six spinoff movies. They've only put out 1 movie, which was a hit at the box office btw, and are ready to produce not just one more.. But so many. That shows that Sony has faith in their team and the Spiderman franchise. They've acknowledged their faults and catered to fan demands (we got a new suit that's more comic book accurate than Raimi's, were getting new villains, Venom is getting his own movie etc).

Whereas Warner Bros is dragging their feet with their properties. They don't have just one character, they have every character in the DCU. Plus they have the financial backing of Warner bros. They don't have to borrow money or sell their rights like Marvel had to. They have the tools in their hands but are going extremely slow and cautious. We're finally getting to see two DC characters interact and it'll happen in 2015.. Oops I meant 2016.

Hopefully this delay gets them off their ass and working to get 2 movies out a year. Or at least have some sort of plan for their characters.
QuestiontheAnswer - 1/18/2014, 1:15 PM
Warner Bros doesn't need to adapt their comic properties, they're making enough money from everything else they're doing. To be honest all Marvel and DC movies besides TDK trilogy have been satisfying.
ForeverPowerful - 1/18/2014, 1:29 PM
God good this movie looks amaz....[frick] I FORGOT WHAT SPIDERMAN LOOKS LIKE AGAIN!!!!!

Good thing Sony is releasing the same [frick]in 5 posters every five seconds. I'll try to remember next time.

Thanks for deleting my comment, @Zauri, ya' biased [frick].

Hey dude, if you want to express your opinions - which I'm all for, freedom of speech and whatnot - write it in an editorial. You're showing off a really, really cool poster, which is news, but adding your opinion in the same article and justifying it the comments is NOT news. Keep an unbiased opinion in your article, and write your opinion in an editorial.
MediaMan - 1/18/2014, 3:46 PM
Zauri's right. WB has had Nolan succeed big-time, and that's it. MoS? Good, not great at the box office (& hardly a great movie in the opinion of MANY people). Remember the predictions of MoS making a billion? Oops. And Green Lantern? Superman Returns?

People can say, "Oh, TASM wasn't that good." Wanna compare its total/global box office to MoS again? Right, I thought so. You may think MoS was better than TASM, but plenty of people definitely do not agree.

Even Fox has managed to get X-Men more or less right, despite royally screwing up the Fantastic Four.

WB has a **LOT** of work cut out for them.

TheRealDorkKnight - 1/18/2014, 5:27 PM
Zauri i agree with your opinions but completely agree with the rest of our humble nerd community when saying you should keep your news and your opinions separate. either way great posters and i want them on my walls too
Lem1 - 1/19/2014, 1:29 AM
How cool would it be if that poster of Spidey matched in every way the Ultimate Comic image to which it is being compared? -I mean translated to 'realism' from that great Mark Bagley drawing- especially the trademark webs flying around. I'd love to see 'em make the webs look like in the comics how Spidey's got 'em all cocoiled up... Guess they can't come up with a good 'realistic' reason for that.
technodrome518 - 1/19/2014, 2:56 AM
I'm gonna say that these two are the some of the very best Spider-man movie posters I've ever seen. Such vivid color and eye catching detail. They just jump off the screen or page or laser eye beams shot into your skull.
MediaMan - 1/19/2014, 3:52 AM

Who said anything about TASM "crushing" MoS? The point is TASM was jeered at for being a "too soon reboot" that didn't do as well as Raimi's films, etc etc, while MoS was gonna "gross a billion dollars! Beat the Avengers!" and all that baloney.

The fact that TASM outgrossed it AT ALL speaks volumes about the weakness of MoS at the box office.
MediaMan - 1/19/2014, 12:12 PM

Oh, come on. I've read one or two - if even that - fanboys talking about a billion for TASM2. But fanboy predictions for MoS were much higher- you know, like "It's gonna beat The Avengers!" Uh huh.

On a business basis, MoS wasn't what anyone would call a flop, but I'd bet real money it didn't make WB's private expectations.

And even if you didn't like TASM, obviously plenty of people did consider it "worthwhile."
UltimateHunt - 1/19/2014, 4:34 PM
The head tilt down poster looks more realistic, the 2nd one looks nice but video game tone IMO, also I didnt know TASM made more $$$ than Meh of Steel, ehh not a big accomplishment doesnt matter anyway. Interesting thoe
