Supergirl will star Melissa Benoist (Glee) as Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks (True Blood) as Jimmy Olsen, Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh (Grey's Anatomy) as Alex Danvers, David Harewood (Homeland) as Hank Henshaw aka Cyborg-Superman, Faran Tahir (Iron Man) as "The Commander", and Laura Benanti (Nashville) as Allura Zor-El. Former Superman Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman ) and original Supergirl (1984) actress Helen Slater round out the cast in unspecified roles.
