Henry Cavill Doesn't Believe That A JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie Is "Around The Corner"
Reaffirming what both Man of Steel director Zack Snyder and many fans have said about there needing to be more solo movies in order to build up to Justice League, Henry Cavill shares his thoughts on the potential of the superhero ensemble and the likelihood of when it will happen.
Despite recent reports that Man of Steel screenwriter David Goyer has been tasked by Warner Bros. with writing both the sequel to that and an eventual Justice League movie, those involved with the film were quick to point out that they believe Superman at the very least needs another big screen outing before that happens. With such a large roster of characters to introduce - Aquaman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, etc. - it does indeed seem obvious that at another couple of solo movies are needed in order to lay the foundations of the DC Cinematic Universe. As it turns out, this is a sentiment that Henry Cavill agrees with. "Justice League could be great if done correctly. It's a very tough one to do because the DC comic heroes are all god-like in their power. So in this real world setting we're telling our story in, it's going to be tough to achieve that and it has to be done very delicately with a lot of thought," he said of the potential of the movie. As for when he believes Justice League should happen, Cavill added: "So, it won't be right away, I hope it's not anyway. It may take some time of building up other movies and other characters and introducing them together in one way or another. I think it would be great to do, but I don't think it's around the corner."
