Henry Cavill Excited About Cyborg Easter Egg In MAN OF STEEL

Ahead of Man of Steel's release on DVD and blu-ray in the UK, Henry Cavill talks about the DC characters (besides Batman) he's most excited about appearing in future movies including Cyborg and Lex Luthor.

Henry Cavill Cyborg Justice League movie

"There's one obvious [reference] which is now particularly obvious because of our next installment, involving Batman. We see Bruce Wayne Enterprises on the satellite in space. We also see some references to LexCorp, I actually have no further knowledge of this next story but there's a good chance Lex is going to be introduced soon or at some stage. What really intrigued me was Dr. Hamilton's connection to S.T.A.R. Labs, Cyborg I think would make a wonderful character and an incredible bridge between both superhumans and humanity in a different way than Batman. So I don't know where he's going to come in or if he's going to come in but that's one I'm particularly excited about."

still wonder about new 52 an replacing cyborg for MM but as long as WB an dc build this U i don't care just want more flims outside of supes an bats
mbembet - 12/3/2013, 5:55 AM
haha [frick]ing pathetic he prefer cyborg than Batman cos he knew he will get overshadowed by Batman
Prime - 12/3/2013, 5:57 AM
Star Labs have always been part of the Superman myths. Not just Cyborgs. And [frick] that, give the Martian.
Prime - 12/3/2013, 6:00 AM
@ mbembet wow grow the [frick] up.
Prime - 12/3/2013, 6:01 AM
Who is gonna be Lex and Metallo and what the [frick] is JL gonna be about?
DEVLIN712 - 12/3/2013, 6:12 AM
Then you risk it turnining into a big old clusterphuck of characters with no room for development
MrDonut - 12/3/2013, 6:15 AM
Hopefully this film will be good. From what we've heard as a Bat fan I'm mad excited but certain rumours have had me slightly lowering expectations.

Anyway, I'd follow the New 52 slightly- introduce Manhunter as the one that brings them together; Cyborg was around cos of his origin for the League first coming together, but is deemed to be 'military property' given his nature and not actually a Leaguer, but the League eventually 'free' him and take him on as their 1st new recruit whereas Manhunter eventually has a tussle with the League and is kicked off cos his methods are too extreme- best way to do it; satisfy fans of both takes.
MightyZeus - 12/3/2013, 6:16 AM
Now i'm not even sure if Lex Luthor is going to be the main villain in Superman vs Batman with the way Henry was describing Lex. Maybe Lex is going to be in the film but he's keeping it a secret.

I am interested in seeing Cyborg alongside Superman and Batman in a Justice League movie maybe?
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:19 AM
I wish that hadn't used Hamilton, and killed him on the first movie. General Hardy..who give a [frick], but Hamilton is an important part of Supes mythos.
johnblake - 12/3/2013, 6:19 AM
Even though martian is awesome it really doesn't matter if he's replaced by cyborg. Even though he almost as strong as superman he often gets over shadowed. So I'd rather see him lead his own team.
maninfinesuit - 12/3/2013, 6:21 AM
Personally, I'd love to see Superman in this series at some point down the line.
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:23 AM
John: That reminds of issue 1(I think) of Blackest Night, where Manhunter zombie is attacking Flash and Green Lantern, and yells "I'm as strong as Superman, why does everyone forget that?"
KrazyForKomix - 12/3/2013, 6:25 AM
Icon's a GREAT idea (in spite of his similarity to Supes).
DurtyTalynt - 12/3/2013, 6:25 AM
Damn for some reason i cant get excited about this movie anymore. Hope calvill gets more minutes than affleck.
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:25 AM
I'd like a little conflict between Cyborg and Superman, maybe have Cyborg made by S.T.A.R. Labs and backed by Luthor. Luthor can push him saying "we don't need this alien, look what we can become". They have a minor fight, Cyborg joins up with them, and a pissed Lex takes the tech and make Metallo.
CorndogBurglar - 12/3/2013, 6:26 AM
How does STAR Labs automatically mean they are referencing Cyborg?

STAR Labs has been around for a long time and doesn't automatically mean Cyborg, considering that a lot of other characters have ties to it.

Maybe if they mentioned robot prosthetics or something, then I could see it. But this is like saying those Lexcorp trucks in MoS were referencing Bizarro since Lex Luthor originally created him. That just makes no sense.
knocturnalzen10 - 12/3/2013, 6:27 AM
exactly marvel's more racist then a lil bit at times they [frick]ing have panther with the same intellect as doom , but he still has figured out how to make a vibranium suit come on man! smh an i won't even speak on power man smh
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:27 AM
Nibs: I doubt that's a problem. Lex should be early 40's at the oldest. Cranston would be great has Comm. Gordan.
WruceBayne - 12/3/2013, 6:27 AM
Cyborg would be a welcomed addition to DCCU. He wouldn't be hard to recreate for the big screen, he's now a fairly known character and his origin would only take 15 minutes to tell in a flashback. Yeah... Bring him on.
Pasto - 12/3/2013, 6:27 AM
Hey, I didn't miss out on the party!

*Passes shots around to everyone. Hands Yoss a beer.*
knocturnalzen10 - 12/3/2013, 6:28 AM

Nibs; Don't engage in an argument with a fool, they will bring you down to their level, and beat you with experiance.
GetsugaTensho22 - 12/3/2013, 6:29 AM
I Just want to reach out and caress his face.
What a hunk.
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:29 AM
Nibs: I deffintly agree there, but he's a good actor it most other roles.
Nomis - 12/3/2013, 6:30 AM
Tony Stark is about as white as a white boy can be.
JoeMomma29 - 12/3/2013, 6:30 AM
@ Intruder

That list of Black characters you listed, besides being black what do they all have in common oh that's right they are all sidekicks and minor roles!
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:31 AM
Getsuga: I'd let you touch my face, but the Papa Moon would get jealous. But thanks, I have been feeling hunkish today's
knocturnalzen10 - 12/3/2013, 6:31 AM

TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:32 AM
Best thing to do, is ignore them Disney trolls, they never give up.
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:32 AM
MrCBM56 - 12/3/2013, 6:34 AM
Cool. Cyborg is awesome.
maninfinesuit - 12/3/2013, 6:35 AM
Hey, at least M.C.D. got five minutes of heard-but-not-seen screentime in the first GL.
HavocPrime - 12/3/2013, 6:35 AM

Aww you are a special kind of stupid aren't ya.

Anyway, I like that they want to bring in others instead of Batman, seeing Cyborg on screen, or even a small cameo of Vic would be cool
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:35 AM
You forgot Henry Lennix
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:37 AM
Nibs: I agree, I hated that movie. Personally I want Mark Strong as Lex Luthor.
Nomis - 12/3/2013, 6:37 AM
@ OldGreg - Let's hope tey keep this momentum going for the final stretch of the season.
MightyZeus - 12/3/2013, 6:39 AM
Personally i might get a lot of hate for saying this but Idris Elba for Lex Luthor!!!
superbigguy32 - 12/3/2013, 6:41 AM
If a JL movie does come out expect to see Cyborg and not Martian Manhunter. Because they'll probably not going to have 2 super powered alien characters in the movie. Superman and Jonn are pretty much the same character. But I'd rather see MM in a JLA movie than Cyborg.
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:43 AM
Nomis: Well they are 4-0 in their division, so that helps. They should be 9-4 or 10-3 now, but that didn't happen.

Nibs I picture a 40 something year old in the basement, yelling "mom where the hell are my pop tarts!!!!" while angrily typing.
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 6:44 AM
Howard and Cheadle played the same guy, so that counts as one, stop being so willfully dense.
